  • We have just sewed oats and are now disking them in. Later we will chop these oats for oatlage to feed our cattle over the winter.

    When you were tilling down the field then circled and went across the field you came to a bit of water before you turned up the field and I thought oh Cole used to leave the water running in the earlier videos too, lol
    The quality of these early videos are great too, nice job Cole

    Question, are all tractors 4 wheel drive? I live in the city, we don't have to many tractors running around

    hello. and for what purpose do you do this tillage? I think you have water erosion caused by overtreatment.

    how deep do you set the disk?

    • @SonneFarms
      @SonneFarms  5 років тому +1

      3-4 inches, depending on if we are just trying to prepare the seedbed or trying to take care of weeds. Sometimes lighter when we are trying to cover oats with a thin layer of soil.

      @@SonneFarms Thank you for this information. I thought I remembered that if they got in too deep, they would never see daylight.

      @@justincase2830 True, but I meant taking care of weeds that have already emerged and established a strong root system
