- Ford Motor Company plans to transform the newly-acquired Michigan Central Station into the "centerpiece" of a new campus in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood. They're planning a massive celebration on Tuesday morning.
I grew up in Detroit it was really really nice back then I'm glad Detroit is making a comeback.
Billy Ford looks very cool in those shades. His family seems very dedicated to Detroit and that is commendable. Hopefully this will rally a Detroit comeback!
Detroit. Have a good day.
I hope Walbridge gets the job truely amazing to be apart of history! God bless us all!!
The founder of Ford Motor, Henry the 1st loved trains so much - Henry owned his own train company, Detroit Toledo & Ironton. He also loved the train system that circled the Rouge Plant. I had the great opportunity to serve an apprenticeship in the historic Locomotive Shop in the Rouge. Many seasoned Journeyman told me how old man Henry would walk into the Locomotive Shop to see his Locomotives, and talk to the mechanics who kept them running in top shape. I can see how Bill Ford Jr. decided to rebuild the Michigan Train Station. This building is a reflection of his great grandfather's love for trains. Young kids had model train sets in their homes, like me. But Henry the 1st had the real thing above ground.
I Support Ford Family and hopefully the top decision makers of the company continues to put Ford Automobile and UAW MEMBERS as The MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THE BUSINESS TO ACHIEVE AMERICA AS THE FIRST TO DEVELOP THE AUTOMOBILE!!!!!! People with good paying Jobs make this Country Great not President!!!!!!
I hope in the future you can create things that can get younger and change our age and birth year
I don't get why Ford would pay $90 million for something that will cost (in there estimate) $740 million to renovate; probably more. Who else would have the deep pockets to take on a project like this.... It must make sense for them to do it, I just don't see it, applause to them for the investment in Detroit, I think it is a city of possibilities for people that can think outside the box....Best Wishes to Detroit!
I rue the day I voted for snider
