- It's time to organize and declutter ALL the baby stuff. After having three baby boys it's time to create a better system for organizing their keepsakes so it's not too cluttered!

I started a memory box for my grandchildren when we started taking care of them. They are 6 and 9 now. Went through it to neaten it, as I was just putting items in it as time went by. It also has a few things for my son, their father. I cried the entire way through. At the age where I have to accept that I won’t always be there for them.
I had my kids in late teens go through their saved things to see what was important to them too. A few of their "undesired" items I kept for my own sentimental pleasure. ❤
If you quilt or have a friend who does, it's really fun to make a memory quilt from baby clothes! (This is fresh on my mind because I'm preparing to make a quilt from my old high school and college t-shirts.)
I need to do this too. I know I kept too much clothes. Mine is 8, 6, and 2 I get it. Like you said I come back in 2 years to do the youngest . I am so bad , I didn’t even get the oldest baby book filled out should get on that too. Like the idea of 2 baby books .
I would suggest letting Max help decide what to keep. If he doesn’t care yet, try again in a few years.
I save only a few special items and donate the rest. Many people could enjoy these, and I doubt relatives are going to appreciate old clothes. Of course save achievement awards, bar mitzvah paraphernalia, a special baby toy etc, but I would bet others would enjoy your sons' fashions You got style, girl. ❤
Hi Marion! Even though I am not a parent, I am impressed with how you have organized your children's things. My husband is a pack rat (all of the men in his family are LOL), so a year or so ago, I cleaned the attic. He agreed to part with a few things, but all of the stuff from his childhood is in various Rubbermaid containers and boxes and placed in one corner of the attic. My stuff is in the other corner. I would really like to get bigger bins and try to organize the things more thoroughly. As of now, one of his Rubbermaid containers is filled with old VHS tapes....so, I have my work cut out for me! Thanks as always for sharing your organization tips with us!

You should create a scrapbook/baby book for each kid with all the memorabilia.

Toddle bed make baby books
At the big event as a teen make a quilt or at 18 make a quilt with all the clothes and give to them .
Just be careful what you put in their room ask me how I know 😢… I did that we have 3 kids adults now lol
Unfortunately one of them destroyed 90% of her stuff decided to cut up all her pictures and hair on all her dolls. She glued them to the wall I don’t need to tell you how devastated I was when I went in her room 😢Now in her 30is she laughs and tells people that she was adopted that’s why she only has a few pictures that I had 🤦🏻😂 . Good thing she actually remembers doing it .

Baby album and a running religious album, if that works in your life
School (12) years book: report cards, teacher meetings, party invites, etc
Trophies: peel off plaques and have them mounted on one board - photo album of your athlete's games
All prom photos in one album
Graduation: OMG, they made it! photo album, cap or tassel, gown, grad gift from family, cake photo...

First car, first job...then...
the wedding and then kids or not....maybe fur babies..
Oh stars and garters, it never ends, memories aren't just for us, they're a hope chest of wishes and dreams for the ones we pray we did right by...
My
