Honestly I think the rockets should just keep rebuilding. They have a ton of young talent and just because none of them have “broken out” yet doesn’t mean they won’t. There are plenty of players in the league who are considered elite now that didn’t really show it until they’re mid twenties. Look at Lauri markennen Jalen Brunson Mikel bridges all didn’t show off their talent until 5 or 6 years into their career. On top of that they have no idea where their draft picks will land and the next few draft classes are STACKED. Plenty of teams have shot themselves in the foot by jumping the gun and trying to compete way too soon. They should hold out for atleast 2 more seasons and really see what they have before making a move

Don't sleep on Alperen Sengun. It's his third season he already have 2 triple doubles as a center and he gradually increase his fg% every year drastically. Mvp caliber player. Rockets needs a lot of solid good role players and veterans.
Sengun is so talented. He is already one of the best center of the league, and yet he may still improve on the defensive side, and the long range shoot. If he does, he will become unstoppable

giannis is probably the 2nd best player in basketball rn and still in his prime, he may not solve everything but getting a top 3 player in there prime is very hard to pass on. Rockets are in a position where they cant afford to just keep this core together because its gonna get expensive fast extending all these young guys they have. The Rockets didn’t need the #1 pick to get a potential top 5 player. They had a shot at Scottie Barnes and Evan Mobley, but took Jalen Green, instead. They drafted Jabari Smith instead of Jalen Williams, who looks like a potential perennial All Star. It’s not that they drafted poorly, because those were all good picks at the time, but the point is you don’t need the #1 pick.

Giannis is a great player, but his supporting cast needs to be built around him. The Rockets' roster will still have holes whoever is left following a Giannis trade. If I were them, I'd rather be patient and wait for the other teams to panic. As regards Durant, that would be the wrong move, great as he is. He doesn't fit their timeline, but in terms of talent I'd rather have him than Giannis because he is so plug-and-play.

Alpi doesn't hold a candle to Jokic at the moment. He showed him enough respect when he referred to him as "poor man's Nikola Jokic". Jokic is on his way to a 4th MVP award and is the only reason Nuggets are relevant at all. He is an example of a superstar that you need to win a championship.
He's a legend who won a championship with 0 All Star players on his team. When Alpi does the same, he'll get a different treatment too.
What real achievements does Alpi have other than being a young buck with a lot of potential? Don't overhype the kid, it's way too early. They did that with Ant and it didn't end well. Even then, I would rate Ant higher than Alpy for now based on achievements alone.

I know it’s a limited sample size and he’s really young but Amen Thompson looks like a potential top 5 player during Jabari Smith’s absence. If he can continue developing and improve his jumper the kid could be special.

in my opinion, if the Rockets, where to get anybody who would probably be Devin Booker or Kevin Durant, since they own pretty much all of phoenixes draft picks, and if the suns wanted to rebuild, they would have to call up Houston first pretty much getting there on draft picks back would be more valuable plus more than likely that it would include Jalen Green, probably Jabari Smith, and then like the rest of their draft picks because if they trade Durant/Booker that pretty much means they’re going in rebuild mode.
The eastern conference is so bad this year that the bucks are going to be in playoffs. It's really possible that bucks even reach 5th or 6th seed.

Winning a championship isn't easy but it feels good for this franchise and organization to finally reach that level of hard work. Everyone makes mistakes and learn from it. There is no good reason for the Rockets not to pursue Giannis unless the asking price is so high they will have nothing but Giannis if they make the trade (and I don’t think it will be that high). They currently have so much young talent they are sending young, talented players to the G league because there aren’t enough minutes to go around. They can’t keep, and develop, all of their young players and the truth is that this roster can be good enough to become a perennial playoff team but it will never be good enough to win a title. The current roster is what they would have looked like in the nineties without Hakeem Olajuwon - a lot of talented role players but no one to push them over the top.
