For anyone on here what would happen if you only removed the block between the axle and leaf spring and not use a shackle kit? would that not give you a drop as-well?
@jairotoda i took out the blocks and am running the original shocks with 115k miles and 6 years on them. They haven't given me any issues since I took the blocks out a month ago. I haven't hauled anything though. I do much prefer the ride and look and convenience of having the front at stock height with the rear block taken out versus having a spacer leveling kit in the front with the stock rear suspension. I'm running 17 inch wheels now with 265/70r17 Cooper Road+Trail and I love it. I did have the OEM 22 inch wheels with the predecessor to the road+trail which is the Discoverer AT3 4S. The tire was great, but the wheel significantly holds back the performance of a tire. Having more sidewall like I do with my 17 inch wheels means more tire flex for traction, and more sidewall which helps significantly with comfort on rough roads.
i like that its a how to video but that truck needs alot of work plus when hes talking to the camera u can see that the frames got a huge crack in it behind the axle its a nice truck but doing a mod like this to a truck thats unsafe to drive is scary to watch
Shop These Leaf Spring Shackles ! : amtrucks.at/40Xgux3
Definitely need to show more street trucks on this channel more options for those who want it lowered
Is there a pinion shim needed ?
would this effect the driveshaft?
would it be easier to removed the bed bolts so you can just lift the bed by an inch???

It would lower the rear by 1.25 inches.
How about the shocks ,

Can you run airlift load lifter 5000 bags with drop shackles?
The rear is 3in dropped?
It looks like you removed the hitch, is this a step needed to get the bolt out?
Yeah you’ll want to take the hitch off to get access.
Yup i wasnt aware of that step . Took a little longer but got it done.
Sooooo with the u bolt nuts is it a big problem if you don’t have the spacer??
Just need to get shorter U-bolts, wish i would jave though of using spacers tho. That's very smart and saves you money
What size tires?
