I can't believe that "Heil Honey, I'm Home!" even managed to be greenlit, and they actually made an entire pilot. Thankfully, the project was scrapped not long afterwards.
I could see it _maybe_ being a MadTV sketch since they were always more willing to push more boundaries and be more UnPC than SNL, but the satire would have to be razor sharp. This isn't it.
I wasnt sure if it counted, but im surprised it wasnt at least on Honorable Mentions, but Toddlers & Tiaras. These were literal children, some pagents even had categories for 1-3 year olds. The lengths these parents went to for their kids to win! Spray tans, flippers (basically false teeth for the purpose of hiding crooked or missing teeth), hair extensions, expensive dresses that they definitely werent going to wear again since theyre growing children, makeup and other stuff. I was creeped out by the photos they took, they're absolutely caked in makeup and look like mannequins. They're even some kids clearly under stress from having to wake up early to go through hours of makeup and prep, not to mention travel long hours to get to those pageants. I often wonder if the title of Supreme Queen or whatever name and some thousand dollars is worth it when the parents prob spent just as much money, if not more, for all the prep work they put into it. And thats only if you win. I think there were other prizes more aimed for the kids like baskets with candy and expensive toys but the competition seemed more aimed between the parents who were coaching their kids.
It's been said that one contestant of "The Chamber" died in hospital of hypothermia. I don't think even signed waivers could save the show from cancellation... Or wrongful death suits.
There was a reality show with a premise so heinous that it never even made it to air. It was called Welcome To The Neighborhood. Its premise was a bunch of families of different races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations competed for a house in a neighborhood full of racists, bigots, and homophobes who had final say on who would move in. The series was so controversial that it got the network investigated for violating the Fair Housing Act.
I watched one episode of WB Superstar. The premise was so awful I could not stomach it. The judges told terrible singers they were amazing and talented singers that they were awful. They also told all the talented people to wait together in a room and then revealed the real premise to them. That the whole thing was an elaborate prank. Horrible.
What about Bridalplasty and How Far Is Tattoo Far? How Far Is Tattoo should definitely be on this list. The entire premise of that show was cruel. Ppl revealed embarrassing, humiliating things through tattoos that is wild af.
If there is anything awesome about "Kid Nation," it was that it introduced us to Sophia. She was feisty and always spoke her mind, and did not act like a 14-year-old.
Kid Nation was actually incredible. Watch all of the episodes from the beginning to the end and you will see that the "Kids" DID create a civil society. It was the whiny children that went home to their mothers and complained that they had to wash dishes, sweep the houses, & do EVERDAY CHORES that made the press yell about a "bad conditions." This was JUST at the beginning of "Helicopter Moms" & "Safe Spaces."
the swan was horrible. for me the most disturbing aspect was the plastic surgeon. they are like artists. and like every artist, they have a signature style (ie. john woo films have signature features, drake songs have a signature sound) all the swan contestants who had surgery looked EXACTLY alike. these women looked like they could have been sisters who had different fathers.
The lack of Megan Wants a Millionaire is sad. Sure it’s wasn’t cancelled because of the gold digger aspect but rather because one of the ‘millionaires’ murdered his post show wife. But still…
The moment i read "cruel shows" i thought of "Ugly Betty", but, anyways , this was a nice top. Have a happy wednesday morning today , Samantha, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
This has to be the most depressing and unhappiest narrator ever hired to narrate a Msmojo video. Her voice is just slow, deep and unenthusiastic. No offense but couldn't she narrate this video a little more excited?
I had an inkling that “The Swan” would be number 1 after watching someone named Luxeria react to that show. “WHY AREN’T YOU MAKING IT TO THE PAGEANT?!”
Some of these are just the obvious 'point and laugh at the person with learning difficulties/personality disorder.' But things like 'Kid Nation' falls into the Dwight Shrute school of activity appraisal "Before I do something.. I ask myself 'Is this thing stupid?' And if it is indeed stupid I do not do that thing.." Who didn't look at the idea for that one before it even got off the ground and say "This is stupid.."?
Bridalplasty was spectacularly horrible and so was “the swan”! I only saw bridalplasty recently and was absolutely blown away at its shameless lack of dignity, but I remember seeing the swan when it first came out, and I simply could not stop laughing at how awful it was.
I love that bit at the beginning... What sort of leap of faith does it take for someone to think that Michael Jackson would be the celebrity they are competing to marry? Only if you're a little boy love. Only if you're a little boy..
I think it was labeled cruel because it seems to have tried to humanize Hitler as a joke, mocking the atrocities that real people went through. Never a good idea to make satire at attempted genocide.
My God. The various Mojo Channels must be running out of 10 Ten show ideas. How many more times will we see the Heil Honey, Who's Your Daddy, Kid Nation and I wanna marry Harry among others thrown into the same list with a slightly altered title. These lists are becoming click bait 😅.
Well you didn't explain much about why Man versus beast was animal abuse? What exploitative? you probably should have shown some more clips to say animal rights had a right to speak up. Because all it look like was animals in their element and people trying to race or hang longer? Which doesn't seem like it's abusive or cruel? Embarrassing probably for the people. But the animals probably thought it was funny? 🤷🏾♂️ What do I know?
I had to do some searching, but I learned a bit about the show. I can see why animal rights groups called the show out. They had an elephant compete against 44 dwarfs in pulling an airplane a certain distance, they put a champion hot dog eater against a bear in an eating contest, they had a champion sprinter race a giraffe and then a zebra in a 100 meters dash, and a Navy SEAL race a chimp through an obsticle course. It sounds terrible.

Anything now goes. Sad so sad.😢😢
@milliebbfan Not wanting to see it constantly doesn't make someone homophobic. Would you want Christians to put stuff they believe in everything you see? People have started making their sexuality their personalities, which is just weird. I have a few gay family members, and they are even sick of seeing it everywhere. People can support that people part of the LGBTQ+ community deserve equal rights but also not want to see or hear about it on every single thing they watch or listen to. Just like people can accept that Christians & Muslims have rights, but I am sure non Christians/non Muslims wouldn't want to see it or hear about it on everything they try to watch or listen to either.
@@thatgirlfromktown Christians already do that so that whole paragraph is pointless. Your religion, sexuality or race shouldn’t be your whole personality. If it is, then you need to soul search & find a bigger purpose.
