I've been diagnosed since 95. I was 25. I am so happy to see you did this! I was going to suggest. MS affects men differently than women. They are a fun couple! You must laugh at life. And especially when one has a condition that can change from day to day. I hope you will interview a female.

My mom, uncle and grandma all have MS. Just like Greg, my mom was a teacher and after her diagnosis, it got too difficult and she retired early. It’s been very difficult, especially since I was 7-8 when she was diagnosed. I’m 21 now, and it’s definitely not easy and over the years, her health due to MS has been declining. MS has been a big part of my family since I’ve been seeing family members with it since I was very young, and since I have 3 family members with it (MS is a “rare” disease but it felt so common to me since this is all I’ve ever really known growing up) Nancy is such a pure soul and I know it’s not easy having a loved one with MS and all the hardships you go through. Bless them both ❤️

My main Channel day from Colorado has more videos about it but it's not really am getting any particular direction. Other than my daily video stream as I get my eight-year-old daughter up in the morning for school.

I have a very similar story! My parents had a difficult time conceiving, and then my mom got diagnosed with MS. She was told she shouldn't get pregnant, so they finally looked into adoption, but the adoption service immediately told her she wouldn't get a baby because she 'wouldn't be able to take care of it' 🙄 then they went to get IVF, had me, and, surprise, she's been a great mother to me, and my parents have been married for 34 years.

My 97 year old great grandmother has a lot of memory issues. I saw her at her nursing home a few weeks back and met a couple of the other residents at dinner time. Before I left I asked them “so you’re Fred and you are Judy right?” Judy replies “yup, but we don’t know who she is!” (Pointing to my great grandma). Great grandma replies “I don’t even know who I am.” We all bursted out laughing. Sometimes you just have to make the best of your situation.

Like Greg, I also have a neurological disorder, but so lucky to have a husband who loves me as much as Nancy loves Greg. When you're sick, it means the world to have someone by your side; someone who will never give up on you... and even when you wanna give up on yourself, they won't let you❤ this is the True meaning of LOVE.

    • @nuckinfuts7610

That's wonderful. I'm glad that you have that kind of love and partnership in your life. I'm no advocate for marriage by any means, but I gotta admit, whoever originally wrote those vows were onto something. To devote yourself completely to someone for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do you both part is one spot on depiction. One that's also really underrated. Sadly, we've heard them so much that it's lyrics have lost it's impact and meaning. When you find the kind of love that's unabashed, unrepentant, audacious, unconditional, fierce, untamed, unfeigned...you just know when you got it. And gurl, you got that ish. 💕👍

At 11 years I still feel at married to him as the day we said I DO. @@wandafrmbama5803 agree, love is everlasting and goes beyond the physical realm. Many faiths who've long used these traditional vows also felt it was necessary to revise that last line. I have MS, my first attack was when I was pregnant with my son, I suddenly lost feeling in my right thumb, by the next morning I was numb on my right side, they first thought I’d had a mini stroke, but after 14 nights in hospital 3 MRIs, a lumber puncture and a heap of blood tests, they diagnosed MS! My son is 18 in November so it’s been that long!
I now need a walker for my mobility, I can’t walk without it now due to my poor balance, coordination, strength and vision! My husband passed away 12 years ago and my sister stepped in as my carer, I’m so happy she did, she cracks so many jokes with me all the time! We are never sad, which is the best!

When my body was shutting down in 2012 and I was waiting to see specialists, my husband was out enjoying his “extra curricular” activity. I discovered it in January 2013. He moved out a few months later, said he wasn’t spending the rest of his life taking care of me. That was after 15 years and 2 children. In June of that year I was diagnosed with cancer in my spinal cord in my c-spine. October was the surgery and I have been left with nerve damage that affects my mobility. I get flare ups, similarly to someone with MS (one of my specialist tells me) that knock me out for extended periods of time, especially if I get sick. Thank God I have amazing parents who have been able to help my children and I.
I LOVE the attitude and sense of humour this couple has 💕 This is what in ‘sickness and in health’ looks like. Wishing you many more years of love, humour and making memories together 🥰🇨🇦

No matter how sick, tired, weak, or strong he was at the time, he never let it keep him from giving us 100% of him, his humor, or his love of teaching. This reminded me of my grandparents. My grandma took care of my Pop alone the entire time he had dementia. She refused home health (and I wish she hadn’t - it’s admirable, but everyone deserves help and time for themselves) and did all of his care, 24/7, for about eight years. For about half that time he had no idea who she was, for about a year he couldn’t even sit up or speak. I’ve never seen love the way my grandma loved my Pop, she loved him so deeply his illness wasn’t even a factor. Or maybe it made her love him even more. That’s the kind of love these two have, and it’s such a rare and special kind of love, as cheesy as that might sound it’s true. Thanks for another great one, Chris.

I have MS. It really is like a ticking time bomb. For me I woke up blind, but now that I look back I see little episodes that I now know were MS, like my right foot fell asleep for a few weeks once and I was tripping over, my left pinkie and ring finger a few years before that and blurry vision that was diagnosed for migraines. If there are lesions, those are the episodes you didn’t notice. Good luck with treatment, they are making some exciting developments at the moment.

True love right here. While I am not disabled in this way (I am disabled though), it takes a special person to marry someone and STAY with them if they are disabled. Sadly so many leave their spouse once they become disabled because it's to much for them. They don't think of their spouse sadly. I mean I understand it can be hard of course, but love is stronger than any disability.
Also if you don't have laughter, things will be hard. Laughter helps you deal with it. I've gotten to the point where I can even laugh about myself. Live, love, laugh!
