I was a fan of Tom and the Heartbreakers from day one....and just got more and more into them every year. And after my first concert.... obsessed might cover that. Couldn't get enough of the music! If there is a Tom Petty version of a Deadhead.... that would have been me!! I feel so blessed to have been to several concerts and to have found out that my "adopted" daughter was a Tom Petty fan and went to a concert with my wife and I.... beautiful! Gone way too soon, Tom but I'll always keep listening to your music. RIP, master of the Rickenbacker.
Hey did you ever listen to Mudcrutch? It was Tom Petty & The Heartbreaker's BEFORE they changed their name. One of their songs in particular, is my favorite. I'm going to have to look up the name of the song. Found it. Song was called Scare Easy. I love that song.
@debbie4503 " I Don't Scare Easy For No One" great chorus, great song. Mudcrutch was a great band , even early on in his career Tom could really write !!
Tom Petty was such an amazing musician and I've always been a huge fan of his and was lucky enough to see 6 times in concert over the years. Thanks for sharing stuff like this with all of us.
I didn’t discover TO until 2014..Tex. I was music person but other good folks. Then I heard Refugee and omg. Many understood and I am now 74 and went deep into his work and believe me..he is appreciated..or we have gotten wiser,
I've been listening to Tom Petty's Buried Treasure where TP is the DJ and he plays all these original versions of songs, the version the first artist that recorded it did, before it was a big hit, and cool, obscure but influential songs from his music collection, just cool tunes he liked, artists he liked, songs that he heard when he was young, his music influences. This radio show was originally on SiriusXM ch 40 radio, idk if is still on. I've heard some of this music before but theres a lot I've never heard too. I found it on a TP fan website.
Still hard to believe he’s gone. Love hearing his humor along with the tracks on Buried Treasure show. We miss you Tom.
Tom had & has a huge fan base and he's always been beloved. Tom and the HB's real musicians who created & played real rock& roll. Best band ever! ❤
Tom Petty will always be our friend.🇺🇸🎩🎸
I miss Tom and his Wilbury Brothers, George and Roy. They’re jamming together somewhere right now as you read this. And that’s good for all 🎶🙏🥂
