This was not cut up at all , I watched this live in the audience 100% what you are watching is what was performed live. Nothing altered whatsoever. Nothing fake , pre package all sung how you saw it a medley , no editing. Thanks team love your reactions !!
they sayin the medley is live... its just the reactions from the judges etc are edited (cut) in..and we've all seen how they do selective editing on these shows... MAFS is another perfect example!
People protect the "illusion" of what they wish to be true instead of wanting to know the real truth. There are edits in this video and the reactions from the judges are over the top, ridiculous in my opinion and a "turn off".
@@reactiontalk from another audience member, it is not a case of seeing what we want to see, but seeing just what we saw live. Guy's singing was continuous and sounded just like this recording. The video we are watching was edited, but only to include reactions from audience and judges. The four judges are all very good friends. They each sing by themselves throughout the season, and what you call 'over the top' is them respecting each other as artists and encouraging each other as friends. Not having watched the season you would not have seen their camaraderie and so would not understand this aspect of their responses to Guy's performance.
@@Bellas1717 I Agree, seeing it Live is 3D, seeing it in Video is 2D. What was captured on Video was not exactly what was presented live as you stated, the video was edited and portrayed as "real". It is manipulation and that was our main point. Please don't personalize it.

This is a live performance that Guy did on The Voice Australia, he’s one of the judges. I watched it live and it’s definitely not cut up, it’s a medley of three of his hit songs. Guy is incredible live. He’s one of the best singer/songwriters on the planet today and an amazing musician. You guys need to go down the Guy Sebastian Rabbit hole and discover some of his incredible performances. He’s written some great songs with very profound lyrics. I reckon you’ll be blown away.
Just to reiterate : This was the Voice Australia where Guy was a one of the coaches/judges on the voice . This medley performance was done in one performance as a special for the voice. All judges or coaches usually do one special performance for each season.

He really is singing live on the night ,and all his own songs ,he is one of the judges on the show . And all judges have a turn singing live on the show. He is every bit as good as John Farnham live.
This is live. Please don't judge Australian performers on other countries performers. Australia's music scene is based on live pub rock. Artist have to be able to sing live no autotune. There is not enough population to make money off recordings alone. They need to travel around Australia and perform every year to make a living. No lip-syncing we wouldn't put up with it. We have world class singers probably better in some cases but not world class ridiculous money. Guy voice is exceptional but he didn't want to lower his standard and singer swear and sing about sex, so America cut him. Said he had no edge. Give me no edge any day, they didn't like John Farnham either to clean. Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel. You guys missed out. That's my rant! Still love ❤️ your channel. And I love our Aussie 🎶

He is super talented. Discovered a long time ago, on Australian Idol. Use to do so many runs when he sung, probably too many to begin with in his early days. There is no disputing that he can sing though.

We spoke about video production and editing. Rollen said it was about the cuts. I said it was not to take away from Guy's singing and yet comments are full of "this wasn't cut"

Most don't watch the whole video and listen to all of our commentary, so they take it out of context. I think the part that upsets people is they don't want to believe these shows have the ability to lie and manipulate our feelings, but they do.

This has not been 'cut up' It was a 'live' performance of 3 of his hit songs... All filmed in one go! The only editing was the what another camera caught of the other judges reactions. I feel you were a bit annoyed at Guy...or his fans who were there and know it was all done as you see it...except for the added shots of the judges. Just my opinion mate.

You need to apologise in your introduction - this was a live performance and the integrity of our singers should not be questioned.
It’s going to be super easy to get favourable reactions from the other judges if they genuinely love the talent and are good mates. I would be very surprised if they needed to do any fancy cutting here. I do however understand where your coming from, as it’s very common in reality television.

I always get the feeling the judges must hear on theirs microphones that the camera is cutting to them for them to give their reaction. That’s why it seems a bit fake….a bit “scripted” to me.
Exactly, I actually will turn these shows off just for this reason. I don't care for their manipulative editing tactics. Almost like they are trying to steal the "show" and take away from the Artist.

@@reactiontalk WOW! How wrong can a person be. Seriously, NO illusion. He went off stage in the same clothes and came back to sing this live. He's genuinely THAT good. There are no cuts. NONE. Look at it closely, including the judges. Everyone saw it in Australia as he sang it, live. He's always this good. Look up the home acoustic version of Battle scars for the ANZACS and you'll get it. One of those rare individuals who's better live than even his recorded stuff. It's why his concerts are sold out so fast. Do you really think everyone on here got it wrong, but you got it right?

Yes, and like you, they always attack the messenger. All Talent Shows use video and audio manipulation to affect the audience emotions. We don't put any artist on a pedestal. We aren't disrespecting the Artist; we are calling out TV video production formulas. It has nothing to do with Guy, he doesn't make those decisions. But go ahead if you feel the need to protect him from us horrible critics.

We were talking about video editing, not Guy's singing. Pay attention and the audio has also been enhanced when the Audience starts to "scream". You said, "forget the judges". The camera kept cutting back to the judges instead of panning, why? To capture an exact moment, that is why.
The illusion of disbelief is comforting, truth is a hard sell. If this makes you unsubscribe then you don't know who we really are and maybe, you should have never subscribed to begin with? We call it like it is whether it is popular or not, so sorry I'm sure there are thousands of reactors out there who will cater to fan worship and tell you what you WANT TO HEAR, not us ever. Cheers 🥂
