Somehow those wimpy whistles seem very incongruous for the power of those engines. I like the boomy roar of N. American train whistles. "Peep-peep" just doesn't cut it.
British steam engines have not headlights. This is tradition.

They're much sleeker and more uniform but US Trains are more visually interesting since theyre usually a mixture of older cars and modern ones

Agreed! There’s no grace and far less character in the American locomotives. For all their size and claims of incredible power, you’d think the American trains would be faster too! No contest at all.

In my opinion I don’t like British trains there incredibly tiny and there weak they could only pull a few tiny loads and that’s it also every train looks the same and those bullet trains look like catipilers like britiain railways are.
