- Amelia is 4 years old. Yes 4 and already she negotiates setting parameters and consequences of deal breaking haha. She's one smart cookie but have to be careful her intelligence doesn't get carried away with forming an attitude! She's such an emotive little being I just let her run with it every now and again to capture these moments. She's such a sponge and the littlest thing you tell her she remembers and brings it up days later in the right context with an understanding it's pretty amazing. I don't mean generic things I mean like she asks what do plants eat and you explain photosynthesis thinking that it went in one ear and out the other then you hear her 3 days later telling the cat how plants convert sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create oxygen and energy in the form of sugar! Anyway we're committed to teaching her to ride the bike without stabilisers this summer so watch this space!
What do you think to the size of that spider?? Never in my life have i seen a spider in a house that size! I'm sure those from around the world will think it's laughable but for us UK folk that's huge! Banished to the garden!
It’s Amelia’s way of showing Phil is still on her mind. We all miss seeing his beautiful face, and feeling the love that flowed from Phil❤️.

Nikko is such a good girl. She doesn’t seem to have the star power of the boys; yet she takes care of everyone. She is always looking into Mama’s eyes, waiting for instructions.
My husband and I will have been married 49 years in July. We have always had at least one dog the entire time and at the most 3 at a time. Right now we have 2 14 year old half brother mini poodles who both have health problems of aged dogs. We have faced the fact that this is probably the last year for both of them. One has been showing signs of doggie dementia and has sundowners every night. It is sad when they get to this stage but as long as they are comfortable and they know they are loved we will give them the best care we can. Like Phil, we will do what we can and we will always remember the love he gave. Our guys are Teddy and Louie.

😅😂 I'm with you...I do NOT like spiders either!! Amelia is so brave to allow that spider to creepy crawl on her arm! 😅 ❤ Not me. I would have lost all my clothes and everything to get that spider off of me! EEEK! Here in Arizona, we have wolf spiders that can float down from the ceiling, not to mention tarantulas! Well, don't even get me started on that! Thank you again and again for another lovely adventure with sweet faithful Niko and your beautiful little Amelia, oh and the crocodiles!! That's a rather large spider, at least by UK standards. It is good to see Amelia being brought up not to be afraid of them....for the most part, spiders are our friends.
You need to teach Amelia that time spent playing Pooh Sticks is not time wasted.
Actually she should at least be cautious of spiders - until she'll know exactly what is what - considering there are venomous ones in England, including the big ones. Our fear of Spiders is a form of protection, it needs to be there to a certain degree, but just not to develop into a phobia.

This little girl is so funny! She has grown up so much. I'm glad she's already learned to ride a bike. I like her talking and reasoning at 4 years old. She is a smart girl. She knows how to put together a puzzle perfectly.

Oh goodness, I'm with you on spiders! And Amelia, she's fractious today! Obviously missing Phil, and growing up! Testing her boundaries, and her mum! She remembers everything you say and do, and she is playing with "I thought my parents were God, but maybe not. Maybe they are tricking me!"

Phil lived a great life, was loved by his family, and now is at peace. We also have the memories. Don't be sad he's gone. Be glad he lived.
