- We've been working on a new duck house since a skunk got in their old house and SPRAYED!! Their old house was also getting too small for the number of ducks we have and it was also hard to clean and collect eggs. Today we add a house door and nesting boxes to the duck house which allows the ducks to begin sleeping in their new house.

Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.

From Sarah: You just do not know how touched I am that so many of you have been praying for me and our family. During our last video, I asked for prayers because I've recently had some scary initial medical test results. As I said in the video, it could be very serious or...it could be nothing. But, I think it is human nature to fear the worst, fear for my family, my beautiful girls, my faithful and loving husband. In just less than a week, I've had more emotional roller coasters than I've known could be possible. However, while I don't know anything new and am still waiting for more tests, I have experienced a peace and comfort that I can only attribute to your prayers and my cries to my Lord. Since your prayers, I've slept better and I've had fewer waves of panic. Please know how very special it is to me that you all care for me and for our family. Please keep praying for us. And, may God continue to bless each of you every single day. ~Sarah

That is nice that you have a place for the ducks to sleep at night and where the predators can't get to them. They will get use to it after awhile and look forward to sleeping there each night and do it in peace. You all are so fortunate to have your own animals and places for them to be safe and not worrying about losing them to wildlife like coyotes and wolves.

LOVE THISE DUCKS! I am one who gets a kick out of seeing them come flying out of their house. Keeping you in my prayers, Sarah. Praying that the Lord keeps his hand on you, heals your body and calms your soul. I have been going through some health issues myself lately. Having lost my sister and two dear friends to various kinds of cancer, I have had all kinds of thoughts going through my mind. I think it is human nature to prepare ourselves for the worst. After some tests, I found out that I have kidney stones which can be taken care of fairly easily. I trust that the Lord will bring you through this and we will continue to enjoy you and Kevin for many, many years to come. God bless, Sarah, Kevin and girls.

Great Duck Coop! but I noticed that you left them in the coop with no floor, the problem I have with this is that predators such as foxes can easily dig under the coop and snatch a few of your ducks! please let us know if you add a floor for the winter.

Second clip of the intro, when the ducks are running toward the person recording. Reminiscent of parochial grade school, running in the halls. When nearing the nun monitor, her look and demeanor reminded everyone to behave, slow down, stand a bit straighter. But once passed.... LOL. :)

Sarah, you are one of the most sincere people I've ever known. I do use the word "known" easily because after following your family for so long, it truly feels like you all are very close friends. Friends I've come to care deeply about and pray for all of you. Recently we experienced the loss of Justin Roads Father, and that was very sad and painful to see his family go thru. Also Art n Brie with all the problems they're going thru because of the mold in their home. You're all good, honest, hard-working families that we've come to love and bring into our homes daily.
