What are these people talking about? Ronald Reagan cut taxes for everyone and restored the American Spirit. Reagan also cut inflation literally in half giving people more purchasing power. Reagan's Cuts to inflation created a huge economic boom. Reagan’s economic policies, such as a reduction in government spending and regulation and cuts in taxes, resulted in an unprecedented 92-month long economic boom, from Nov. 1982 to July 1990, with expansion and growth in the GDP (+36%), employment (+20 million jobs), and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (+15%).
FDR sucked, over 12 years as president and all he did was prolong the great depression. One could argue Hitler inadvertently did more in helping America out of the great depression than FDR.
Carter lost California to Gerald Ford in 1976 - it was close, with Gerald Ford winning with a 1.78% vote margin (by about 140,000 votes, with a total of around 8 million votes cast in total). In 1980, Ronald Reagan crushed Georgian, Jimmy Carter, in his beloved California - by something between 17 or 18 percentage points (53 to 35%). A winning tally of about 1,500,000 votes. Those folks in the commercial (shown here) must have stayed home on election day. P.S. Jimmy Carter had zero chance of beating the two-term (very popular) Governor of California, Ronald Reagan in his home state. They (the Carter team) had to know it, but pressed on in any event. I do get it, however, that they, with their election strategy, could not publicly write off California.
@holtridge Hell yeah! He put the country in a shit load of debt that wasn't there before and we'll never ever be able to get out of, but he got this country back on track. On track to go over a cliff, but that's what we wanted! Morning in America y'all!
Since when do left-wing dummies like you care about debt? Democrats invented deficit spending. FDR tripled the national debt before the US entered World War 2. Hypocrite.
@Adam Castillo: we have been in debt since the 1920s, Reagan didn't "put" us into anything and debt as a percentage of GDP was very low during his term...that skyrocketed under Obama!!!
@@samsca8529 The man who helped end the Cold War, turn the economy around, create 20 million new jobs, and give America its confidence back? Nonsense. Reagan put this country back on track after the woke malaise of the 1970s. Thank God we had him.

No they did not lol

Ironically enough Jimmy Carter losing was probably the best thing to ever happen for Jimmy Carter
Maybe it has led to him having a very long post-presidency.
Everything the people in this video said about Reagan were true

I remember Carter having his ass handed to him in November.
I remember Reagan doing all the terrible things he was accused of as gov of CA as POTUS

JFK and FDR - were the greatest democrats of the 20th century. JIMMY CARTER WAS LAST!!

Actually Bill Clinton was the last Democrat of the 20th century so uh your joke doesn’t really work. Also JFK is overrated.
