Sadly the Century Age of Ashes player base is EVOLVING BACKWARDS or so it seems like. I had a match earlier today and it was horrible, players just stop and stand still mid air hoping that the enemy will somehow not kill them or miss them just because they stand still.
For everyone who is doing this STOP IT you are just embarrassing yourself and will get killed anyways.
I'm going to be playing the game soon, I played it a while back, hopefully I'll live up to your expectations :)
As a century veteran myself, i feel like the changes at the beggining of season 3 , was the thing that maked almost most of us either or leave or just dont play it as frequent as before, i honestly hope devs change everything back.

I know what you are talking about at the start of Season 3, i just wanted to uninstall and never get back to the game and they fixed it so I stayed.
However I barely play these days, only 1 or 2 matches a week sadly.
And when I do log in the game feels empty and there is not much to do and the random teams are atrociously bad.
same. for them to revamp the interface and the cheap changes for character customization its just.. it was already hanging on a thread
I've asked 2 veterans for help with trying to improve at the game... And I got nothing aside from some platitudes..... Hard to gain skills if people aren't willing to help out.

Well the game changed a lot and I only play it on mouse and keyboard.
For tips, I would say that Gates of Fire which I currently hate the most is good practice for dodging without using the stupid dodge button, Skirmish 3vs3 can also be a good place to practice since the map is smaller.
I use break before turning, try to use different routs on the map as much as possible and I think key is learning to stay alive, however with all the stupid classes like wolf and poison from thorn is a bit harder these days.
Windguard is currently one of the weakest classes right now in my opinion, it's also the most nerfed.
And probably the most IMPORTANT advice.
Stay away from the community Discords they are shit people, try to do your own thing.
Yeah, i got this game long ago, and i ACTUALLY hoped it would turn out great. But NO, devs added so many bad things and removed so many good things.. Plus we waited for season 3 for so long and the only thing we got is 5-4 recolored skins per class. The game will sadly die out in my opinion. I left its discord and i dont think i will play it as much as i did before.
I have seen many players quit, sad that this is the state of the game hope it will get better.
Not to mention how repetitive the game is.
classic arena game. Same repetitiveness like LOL, Dota, WoT, WT and so on
Maybe we will get more maps and content.
