This ink is sticking to treated Christmas cards, which is really good. I like it. Well done Diamine. I can see that faintly greenish and golden shimmer.
This is my first Inkvent! Nope, I didn't buy the inks, but I am excited to experience them thru YT! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and samples! Very informative!
That's one of the things I do worry about, as I release at 8am here, but due to timezones it's the day before elsewhere - it's the reason I keep the title and image generic so it doesn't spoil for those who are waiting for the actual day.
I've opened my Day 1 too (a day early for me as it's still the afternoon of Nov 30 here). The ink really didn't want to play nice with my brush and dip pen for swatching! And the chameleon shimmer was very subtle for me. (And keeping just the lights directly above you makes the color change of the chameleon hard to see. You really want the dried swatch almost directly between you and the light source to see the second color.) On the other hand, I liked this color much better than the other two golds I have! I have Three Kings from last year's Inkvent and Robert Oster African Gold. Both of those are just too brown for my taste (and I'm not a big fan of browns).
I am not certain yet about this ink. I need to get it into a pen to see how it performs. I may try it in my Nahvalur Key West Islamorada, which is a sparkly gold coloured pen.
And so it begins.!
👍
What a pleasure to watch!!
Thanks
I really enjoyed your first Inkvent swatch. Thank you! Your wife is a gem!

Thats good to hear. I don't write Christmas cards so haven't been able to test that.
Nice shirt. This is my first Ink vent calendar. Great gifts from your wife. I like the sparkling gold.
The shirt was a chance find, I've got a few different ones that I'll be wearing on the live videos this month.
I love white/cream pens for that reason too! It was fun to see your Christmas hat and shirt. Thank you for doing this again this year!
👍
I’ve been waiting and waiting. Thanks for doing it!
👍
Humbug?
Nice outfit. Like the hat, lol.
Looking forward to the rest of the days.
I do like to try. The hat was an impulse buy when we were in Kmart.
It isnt light out yet in Kansas and I'm already watching your video. Thank you for your efforts, I look forward to each Inkvent video.
👍. Hope you enjoyed it
I love the shirt and Christmas hat!
Thanks. I like to try.

Thanks. I've done these for the past 3 years and quite enjoy discovering the new inks.
It’s still 30 November where I live as I watch your video. Can hardly wait to open mine tomorrow morning and play with Day 1 ink.

@@GarryEves oh yes, you did a fine job on the title. I just didn’t want to wait.

This color is stunning. I might get a gold Jinhao x750 medium nib just for it
That made me think of a gold Jinhao I have, I may try it in there.
