How to use Gelli Arts® Gel Printing Plates to Print In Your Art Journal

- It’s Marsha here today! I’m going to show you how you can print directly into your art journal with Gelli Arts® gel printing plates. Take the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate of your choice and place it on an acrylic block. Make sure the pages of your journal lay flat before you begin. Use clips to hold the pages down if needed. Roll a drop of paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate of your choice and use your favorite texture plates, stamps, combs and other tools to make marks like you usually do when gel printing. Lift the acrylic block up and place it plate (and paint) side down on the page. It’s just like stamping! You can also use other techniques like stenciling and crayon resist in your art journal. Keep going until you are satisfied with your spread. I always like to end with some scribbles and paint splatter! Happy art journaling!

Hi Cheryl, Yes, in the video I'm using Gelli Arts® Premium Acrylic Paints, but any acrylic paint will work!

Hi Mélanie! Most stencils are cut from paper, just like that, no sketching beforehand. Hi! I use a baby wipe to clean right away and I use Biotex (a Dutch washing powder brand) to soak the brayers in when needed.
