I was there on Saturday!! And to answer your question on the wind, this year it was a LOT better than last year, it was so bad we legit almost blew away and traffic lights were being blown down and everything!!
This was such a fun vlog!!! I really love getting to see behind the scenes of con experiences rather than just the tabling and sales itself. Even though it wasn't a super profitable con, from what I saw it still looked like you both had a super fun trip!!!^^ also congratulations on your first video!!!! you did such an amazing job editing and I love how much care and detail you put into your description with all of the artist's links and the timestamps!!! I'm super excited to see what's to come :D

I live near the Cle area, I drive a LOT and I saw no advertising for the expo. A common advertising method is billboards on the freeway for any up and coming expo or show and it's a shame I didn't see it or I would have definitely been there!
That's kind of wild! You'd think they would do more local advertising considering how big of an event producer Fan Expo is :0 Hopefully you can make it next year though!!
This was an awesome video! I enjoyed it a lot. I'm actually about to go to Fan Expo Dallas in a couple of weeks (not as a vendor just to attend) I've never been before. I'm interested in seeing how big it is. I know you said you have a local Fan Expo. Which one is that? I have heard Fan Expos aren't great for artist alley sales because attendees spend all their money on autographs and guest photos. I'm not sure if that's true though. Also I'm sorry this trip wasn't super profitable but hey at least you got your trip basically paid for. 😅

Our local one is in Portland -- apparently it's not advertised around town well and it's relatively new AND it used to be called like, wizard world or something, so it seems like not a ton of ppl even know about it >.> ""Fan Expos aren't great for artist alley sales because attendees spend all their money on autographs and guest photos"" felt true at this show, but we've also heard not ALL of them are like that lol so it's hard to say. But it's ok! Our goal is to always break even, so it was a tiny success for us esp because we didn't know what we were getting into 😂

It’s safe to say avoid any Fan Expo ran show. I warned friends not to do the one in Columbus. Some did and it was horrible for sales.
