In Australia you don't make a name for yourself in high school ball. High school ball is nothing here.
We have associations in each district where there is club ball. From there you represent the association competing in your state league. From there you get selected to your state team. All states have one team per age group except for Victoria and New South Wales. They have two each, a country and a metro. Metro is the capital city (Melbourne in Victoria and Sydney in New South Wales) and country is the rest of that state outside of the capital. This is where you'll make your name.
