Keep 'em coming! I'm getting my first pinball machine soon and love quick well-done videos like this that show how to do simple repairs. Thanks for doing this!
Would it be advisable to add solder, use a solderpult to remove the old solder completely and then re-solder the wire strongly? That solder job looks like it would work on a non-vibrating application, but for a high vibration coil it will lose the connection again over time. Might at well fix it once and be done with it.
+DeLuSioNaL Arcade you'll notice a jump cut right after we apply new solder and suddenly there is more new solder. We actually stopped rolling and cleaned up the old solder and reapplied (I like to use a solder braid on that sort of stuff)... realized hours after we shot we didn't get the cleanup portion on film. you should see some of the original factory soldering on the thing, way bad and surprising that its still holding on after so many years for a lot of the connectors. I am sure this is not the last time I'll be fixing a similar issue in that machine. Some day it'll get ripped apart and we'll cleanup and reflow all of the connections in one swoop :)
