This video is quite literally remarkable. Exhaustive but simple, a brilliant and complete explanation of the matter. Loved it. Edit: Seems to be let down by no video on finding the angle?
If you take a calculator and press the button marked SIN and enter the value of 30 degrees you will get an answer of 0.5. When using trigonometry you have the functions sine, cosine, and tangent that transform your angle into a form we can use to calculate lengths. So 0.5 is the sine of an angle of 30 degrees.
If it's a right angled triangle, and the long side (hypotenuse) is not given, then yes it's as DaAsianKid123 stated, but if it's for example the hypotenuse and the adjacent given, then you use trig.
So what happened for me is I was there the day we covered the original trig ones (like shown here) but was absent for the day we covered opposite ones (pre ap class, fast paced, ap would've done it in one day) and since my HS does even/odd days I went 3 days with out thinking about it and completely forgot it all. And what's worse, the day after I went to that class for the first time in 3 days, this years "snow" storm happened in Texas, so school was out for over a week. So, here I am, with a 30 in geometry, but I'm okay if I fail, since I'm technically a year ahead of everyone else. To be fair, half of his class are freshmen, but if I fail this year I can't show my face there again.
Hi could you pls make longer videos because you only explained one question about trigonometry and some people wouldn't really understand only 1 question
+Aaron Lakhan I'm sorry if you feel I did not explain it well enough. I guess not everyone will find my explanations to their satisfaction but everyone learns differently. As for not explaining where you multiply or divide - as I'm using the triangles Soh, Cah, Toa I assumed an understanding of how to use those triangles as they are commonly used within science and maths.
+Mr Hopkins Maths no I'm sorry for being an immature idiot who doesn't know speak I'm sorry I was just a bit angry at myself for not understanding it but I did get the rest of the video thx
i had my tests yesterday and when finding sides you know if the side you are trying to find is on top of the fraction you multiply and if its on the bottom you divide and i think i multiplied all of them
Funny how a 6 minute video is better than 2 lessons of schoolwork 😂
You still alive?
You still alive?
youtube saves my ass every time cuz of awesome people like you
watch ur language, if you don't want to watch it so sit quilt.
Aana Rai are you dumb, he was complementing the video
he just said that the guy saved him because of a good video.... some one is cranky...
DryBlue Berries ii
This helped me so much! I was taught trigonometry last year and never really understood it, after a year of confusion I finally get it.
Well done
Hii sister
I missed 2 out of the 3 days we went over trig for the unit so this saved my life

Yu deserve many subs,Clear explanation, easy for Everyone including dummies to understand🎆✊🏻
The best explanation ever , top man
where did 0.5 come from???
Can somebody explain it to me?
This is great, simple and precise. Thank you.
man this video is awesome i don't understand why anyone would dislike it !!!!
Probably other teachers with an inferiority complex.
Where,did 0.5 came from
Nahhhh how did i learn sooo much more from this vid than weeks of lessons on this
I love this soooooooooo much!!!!!!!!! Finally understood my maths hw after almost half an hour of searching!! Thank you soooooo much :)

Thanks soo much! Best video and its really easy to understand
Very simple explanation Thank you sir
ty youve just made this thing so much easiwr
Great simple explanation.. sometimes less is more.. Thanks!
if I have 2 sides are given so, what should I do

Pythagoras
Where is the finding angles video
Damn this lesson help me for assessment thx for helping people good job👍

THANKYOU THIS HELPED SO MUCH!:))))
We have seen your efforts sir...
Please try to do more and more mathematical videos...💐😊
you are a wise man
Hi could you pls make longer videos because you only explained one question about trigonometry and some people wouldn't really understand only 1 question
Thank you so much! That helped me a lot!
thank you, this was great:)
homework ✔
thanks by youtube no more private tuition
Thank you man.
thank you
Cheers moyt
thank you so much
Thanks
French man could have checked on this wonderful thing called the internet.
i thought cah divide.... toa and soa multiply
good
I still don’t know what’s going on
word of advice to remember sohcahtoa think of it as( some old hags cant all hide their old age)
1:00 CALM DOWN
WHATTTT???? why did you multiply SOH but divide TOA??????????
My teacher said remember the Indian mathlete sohcahtoa
Love u
im going to fail my GCSE's
Help??
Instructions unclear. The right angle was on the left.
I am so confused
I'm sorry but this video sucked bad and explain it more because you didn't tell when to divide or to multiply

+Aaron Lakhan know how to speak
Not a problem, thanks for the reply.
i had my tests yesterday and when finding sides you know if the side you are trying to find is on top of the fraction you multiply and if its on the bottom you divide and i think i multiplied all of them
Im actually going to fail
This video sucked i am only more confused now:(
You explained literally nothing ughhhh
Thank you so much
