So first… wtf is wrong with you people? This woman does a valuable job. Her education level or ability to speak proper English has nothing to do with her skills. A good phlebotomist is as good as gold. I have worked in hospitals for 25 years and am always grateful when a good phlebotomist is able to get a good stick. Secondly… why was this poor woman even called to testify…. She clearly had nothing to offer. It appears she wasn’t even involved in this incident. God bless her for her patience and hard work.
@ now looky here! I say looky here! I is a be just be kurious and askid a simple question in proper English that you is a be not be is a understanding! I is a want to know. I say, I is a want to know, which one is a be Miller and which one is a be Zois?
I don't agree with the people complaining about her accent, but what you're saying is equally silly. English has a lot of different dialects and accents around the world. They have dialects in the UK that are difficult to understand because of their accent and words having different meanings or usage, but it's still English.
@@sueburrow2681I understand. It certainly wasn't my intention to be mean, hence my laughing emoji. It was just funny bc there were only 60 seconds left. Lol. I watch a lot of depos and it's unusual to see someone chomping away while giving a depo. That's all, nothing mean here.
not much, it's simply learning the blood draw technique. many RNs, LVNs, doctors and other medical professionals can carry out these proceedures as well.
6 week course or in the job training. It’s actually very important job, yet there is a lack of regulation and educational requirements and they get paid barely above minimum wage. As a clinical laboratory scientist, I value the phlebotomist that I work with. Because this is such a low paying position people in the role may be unaware of the importance of their job in patient care and safety. The entire clinical laboratory field is overworked and underpaid and it definitely affects patient care. Laboratory workers are the unsung heroes of the hospital. About 70% of healthcare decisions made by physicians rely on the work that we do in the laboratory, yet even with a bachelors degree many of my colleagues have to work a second job just to make ends meet.
i was recently in the hospital for 4 weeks. by the 3rd week i wouldn't allow the phlebotomist to touch me. 90% of them are a fucking joke and they are clearly phlebotomist because they're not intelligent enough to be a custodian.
Get your ears checked, dude. Nobody else is having trouble clearly understanding her. She is obviously very hardworking and responds very professionally.
Did that comment make you feel good about yourself? And actually, anyone, who speaks any language can become a phlebotomist. She just so happens to speak English.

We would point out this is 100% correct.

She did great. Truthful and articulate with her answers.
Anybody who doesn't think she speaks English must not speak English themselves.

She came across as very truthful, and a wonderful lady.
22:20 apparently that candy couldn't wait for a few more minutes!! 😅
LOL she's munchin fr
Her mouth was probably getting dry. It is stressful to testify. It could have been a throat drop. Why are you people so mean?
@@sueburrow2681 nobody made a mean comment, if this is what you consider mean then i envy your sheltered life

How much education is required to become a phlebotomist?
Some states require a certification. Some don’t. Which means they could be trained on the job with no school or certificate.

@@puppygirltrish Typically not as good as a phlebotomist. I could get blood out of a turnip back in the day.

Do you have to speak English to do her job
That’s ridiculous. She is easily understood.
