Nice and clear video and comments. One question: If I understand well, you replaced the HDD drive by a SSD drive. Did you do a setup in the bios and which one?
Hi @Alain Rosman! Thanks for the query. I have not set up anything on the BIOS on changing the HDD to SSD. Once the BIOS detects the device, it should be compatible.
@@jockfaire Thats what I want to do. This laptop is a workhorse for sure. Old in computing standards but does the job very well. Can do vector graphics (CAD and modelling) and scalar graphics ( gaming) on it. Quite impressive unit.
My quite new M4800 w/32gb RAM just suddenly started doing this: TURN OFF AND ON IMMEDIATELY in rapid succession, OFF - ON - OFF - ON - OFF - ON Like 10 times in 15 seconds, repeatedly OFF / ON /OFF / ON. Can I save this powerful unit (well, other than M1, maybe it's wimpy now). CAN I SAVE THIS LUMBERING LAPTOP with a stupid HDMI placement? What a dumb design. CAN IS SAVE THIS THING?? What can I do about the OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON issue?? Thanks,.....long message equals = JABRONI ALERT
@@DIYbyExample It just started doing this one day when I was using it, just all of a sudden. I tried to start it up and it went into the exact same on--off-over and over. I maybe can fix it, M1 chip has been shiny and looks smart to focus on that. But maybe it's fixable and this model the damn HDMI is blocked by the DOCKING PORT. this model was made by fools. Powerful for an old style non-M1 chip though run machine. BEWARE THE DELL M4800 hdmi is blocked by the docking station for charging as used. weird desgin and dumb.
Thank you so much.I was dumbfounded regarding where is the second hhd located, glory be to God for your life.
