    Thank you for the video. I have a Dell m4600 i7, 256 ssd, 16 gb ram and still works great after 8 years.
    I intend to buy another m4600 i5 for a verry good price and need to update the SSD and the ram.

    I got the Dell M4800 labtop from 2014. It's a great computer. I also like the fact the keyboard is very similar to the IMB think pad keyboard which was my favorite keyboard for labtops

    Thanks for the video. I've got this laptop, currently with 8GB RAM. I do a lot of film editing - do you think that 16GB is good enough, or might you know if more is ideal? Also, if I stick the full 32GM of RAM into it, are there any issues you think I might encounter? Thank you.

      16gb is probably a good start.

    Pretty useful this video for the upgrade of the memory. My machine passed from 16 to 32 Gb, now it works so great. I bought the memories in Amazon, the brand is Timetec

      yes I think it is, you should be able to find a cpu support list for it to tell you which work with it.

      8gb ram= dual core max
      32gb ram= quad core max.
      Exception is 2630qm, this quad only supports 16gb max.

    • @fermi3294
      @fermi3294 4 роки тому +2

      Also note that the M4700 has trouble with ram speeds greater that 1866 MHz. Even with 4 slots occupied with 2133 ram, they often refuse to boot.
      This is the opposite for the M4800, which contains a beefier memory controller on the CPU core, which could support 2133 ram.

  • @Juvenlus

    Only 1066Mhz is correct or even 1600mhz? If u look for a Ram upgrade on google, Crucial website advices u the 1600 version...but I saw on dell support forum that they talk about 1066. Do u know something about? If works, having 1600 could be a good boost.

    • @mjmcomputers
      @mjmcomputers  5 років тому +2

      I haven't tried it but I'm sure it would probably work. Worst case scenario it might just run at 1066Mhz.
