Nope, never heard of it! Is it anything like "Cherry Mash" or "Twin Bing"? The only Australian sweet I know I've tried are Tim Tams, which are delicious!

I think there is more of a “real” cherry texture in a cherry ripe compared to cherry mash but honestly it has been so long since I’ve had cherry mash, im not sure.

@@tastingthroughtime I had some Cherry Mash recently, and there was definitely something "artificial" about the cherry taste, although it does still contain real cherries, coconuts, and peanuts.

Cherry mash sounds like an ambrosia dish of some sorts.

I’m here because a few months ago my cousin visited from the Netherlands, I live in Australia for context. For most of her trip she was unfazed by the food we have here, not even Shapes or Violet Crumble or even Golden Gaytimes. One day we were both sitting in my bedroom talking when she opened the bar and took a fat bite, then immediately just gasped and cursed in Dutch. She knew my dad loved Cherry Ripe too so she had to run into the living room to tell him a how much she loved it, and it’s pretty safe to say he was super proud.
