  • #elonmusk is amazed by his New #solidstatebattery breakthrough! It solves the biggest problem of #ev catching fire worldwide!
It has twice the energy density of #tesla #4680battery and enables #electriccar Ranges of up to 1000 miles!
    These are great #teslanews aswell
#catl has established itself as the biggest battery supplier in the world and is announcing one Battery Breakthrough after another in record-breaking time!
CATL announced the production of #sodiumionbattery back in 2021, then last year, the #quilinbattery with an advanced new cooling and heating system, New #lfp cells in the new cell-to-pack design, and now with the condensed battery, CATL announced a major new breakthrough for high energy dense batteries with a whopping 500 Wh/Kg!
While battery scientists expected that these energy densities would not be available for at least the next five years with the #solidstate technology, CATL once again proved them wrong!
CATL is already testing its advanced new battery with aviation companies to electrify planes, which will enter mass production in 2023!
But many experts wonder how CATL achieved that Breakthrough and which chemistry they used.
So What is the secret of CATL new condensed battery all about?
Can this really be the first mass-produced solid-state Battery?

The world can't wait. Whoever comes out with it, the head of that company will be a billionaire many times over. The world is in desperate need of this because solar has come a long way. We just need to store all that energy.

Solar is failing because of the attempts to block out the Sun (if you're not aware of that nutty effort by people like BGates, then you need to do some research).
Solar is dead if there isn't enough Sun to get power from.
EV vehicles are dead if they keep causing dangerous hard to extinguish fires, they even continue to burn when underwater.
And they are too expensive to buy and use - MANY drawbacks that consumers don't want to put up with.
And consumers don't want their taxes going into subsidizing govts boondoggles.

      Isn’t that pretty impressive ? 😁

The theoretical capacitance for a volume of space is high enough to make solid state super capacitors worth exploring. Sodium technology sounds not only flammable but downright explosive so it's gonna need some work.

    • @genealogyxie
      @genealogyxie 9 місяців тому +1

idk have you ever played with some of those larger capacitors the size of a coke can though? Try charging one up and then shorting it and you get a really really loud and bright spark/explosion where the circuit closes.
So no safety advantages with supercapacitors here

You know, you might be correct. Especially if the internal resistance to voltage ratio is much higher than those aluminum capacitors. So if you run over a large cinder block at 100mph, that might save your skin. Especially if we figure out a way to make sure the damaged cap doesn't cause nearby caps to short circuit

@@genealogyxie Well I was talking about solid state super capacitors which have no electrolyte, as opposed to electrolytic super capacitors. But both super capacitors and batteries should have management circuitry. Also the charge time can be much lower because charging current can greatly increase.

We need as soon as possible energy density above 300Wh/kg , Solid State Battery can offer between 300-400Wh/kg .
I am dreaming about Tesla Model Y or KiA EV6 with 120kWh battery which can offer for Tesla 700km real range and 600km real range for EV6

Real Solid State batteriers could put EVs out from wannabe to reality. Problem is no one other than Toyota even has a test demo unit. So, even if someone has a viable design; how long would it realistically take to replace lithium - 5 years? 10 years? Never? I have to be honest; after so many panacia claims in the industy; it makes zero sense to follow unless they have some minor test project and show the potential for mass production to be real and not fake news.

All they can work with is current technology. I know lots of people who have driven comparable autos Mercedes, BMWs, and the Tesla is actually on balance a better car and less expensive to own and operate.
Every aspect of the electric car is improving.
      Including batteries.
Not to mention this and other promising battery chemistries lithium ion isn't even halfway to its theoretical limits and we are already at 400 miles of range. Nothing wrong with that.

You don’t tell no truth do you Tesla batteries haven’t caught on fire in years. The only reason the cars are catching fire is because the cameras are catching people dumping gasoline on them and lighting them on fire if you actually do your research and investigate a little more in it before saying oh they catch fire, no they don’t😂😂😂😂
