    Can you tell me why my start cap has no resistor also only 250V. They're blowing quite often lately. Thanks, by the way.

      I've read that some capacitors have an internal bleed resistor. You can verify this by measuring the DC voltage on the capacitor after it has started the motor. With a bleed capacitor the DC voltage should quickly return to 0 volts DC.
      There are several different voltages based on the design of your unit. I'd definitely put exactly same spec back in, unless you can verify from the manual/spec sheet that it should be a different size. www.directhvacsupply.com/start-capacitors/
