Hahahah I have all the videos filmed and easy to go now. Just dropping them. I’m actually really happy with how he iron warrior turned out. Hope you most of all like it lol
The lightning effect really does make the difference! Seems much faster than most ways for just as nice end result, which thinking about it sums up this series! The gold with green shade looks lovely I might give it a go with some Custodes for an aged look.
Thank you for these videos, been out of the hobby for a while, but this new Heresy stuff and these videos has pulled me back in! I’m going to do my own take on each legion and then choose…
I am doing a Night Lords army and this video has formed the foundation for how I paint them. You're right, the Coelia Greenshade really does tie everything together beautifully, and the recipe works well for Mark IV armor as well.
I appreciated the approach to lightening on the power armour. It’s a lot simpler than I’ve see on other tutorials and the talassar blue gives it more pop. Look forward to trying it out.
I will compliment that brassy green-gold effect you got. That looks really good. GW used to actually make a paint color that was a gold that leaned into the green spectrum. I like to wash gold with purple to get a Bonze effect. Similar idea going the other way on the spectrum. This one didn't work as well as the others. A big part of that is due to that Leviadon blue. IMO the single worst contrast paint in the whole line. Also when your re-layered with the night lords blue you kinda covered up some of the natural edge highlights from contrast paint on the edges of the flat areas on the back of the legs. And you got glossy reflective shadows and flatt mid tones and highlights. Some of GW color washes don't dry totally matte. If you finish by spraying the whole model with a matte varnish it fixes it for the most part.
@@MediocreHobbies a little bit but it's totally worth it. I did repaint all my guardsmen before.... all 200 of them. At least I've only got 40 of them done
now with Salamanders and Night Lords, we are now in my Horus Heresy KT territory :D Thanks! Maybe, just maybe, at some point you can show, with one of your new legionnaires, how to do the next steps, so e.g. with some characters/HQ models. Where to put the highlights, how to increase the contrast. Just how to push the paint job little bit further.
A scary good paint job for the Bois in blue. I slowly but surely wait for your take on the best Legion of all time. Iron Within.

Cheers pal. Glad you liked the lightning. Ye I feel this was is something the average painter like myself can achieve across an entire army.
Great scheme to follow for night lords I am going to be following this to build a small force thanks for the video
No worries dude. Glad your gonna use the video.
Awesome video mate. I was looking forward to you doing the Nightlords next...besides conrad, which was also a great video. Thanks for doing these 👍.
No worries pal. Just glad people are watching them.
Ave Dominus Nox. Thanks so much. Awesome video.

Great advice. Thanks pal.
thanks for showing the lightning affect. I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Time to go back and repaint my 11th company now..
Oh sorry dude. Hope I didn’t make to much work for your. Thanks for the kind words n

Not a bad idea. I mite just do that. Thanks pal.
NICE!!! It's Uzas before he went crazy lol
HahahHa where did he find that red paint.
Great stuff
Thanks pal.
Do you recommend grey seer or leadbelcher like in your curze video
It’s a tough one. Cos of the heavy layer it want make you much of a difference. I think I prefer the leadbelcher.
So tomorrow, it will be the sons of the Lion, and then at last, the Lord of Iron’s warriors will get their turn.
Exactly. Soon it will be complete.
Been waiting for the Lords. If I get Age of Darkness it'll be Space Wolves vs Night Lords
A very solid choice. Hope you get stuck into them.
All the night lords wants it some one to hug with Lighting claws and do some back scratchs
That can be your job lol
Most Night Lords from the Horus Heresy would have a silver trim on their shoulder pads.
That’s a fair point. I came across a good deal of both on my research. Just liked the pop of gold more.
Wow
You liked this one?
Ave Dominus Nox
Glad you like it pal.
The army for players who like to lose.
Mfw when my legion only exists in the heresy to be disposable bad guys who never win anything.
You need to read Aaron’s books the night lords omnibus it’s where I fell in love with them.
@@MediocreHobbies I have.
Comes across sort of grey on camera =/
Mite be your screen. Thanks can’t see any grey when I look at it.
@@MediocreHobbies The end result not during painting. Will probthave to do a test model to see
Definitely not playing anymore 🤣😂😉
Hahahah what’s wrong lol
@@MediocreHobbies until the first bah!
why are you so tired?
Hmmm I wonder lol
