I haven’t been there in over 20 years, but I remember fishing there in the Chincoteague Channel, just off the island, and a monster flounder came up to the surface very briefly, just feet from our boat. It’s head was bigger then a dinner plate! Just MASSIVE! Had to be at least 4 feet in length.
What baitcaster were you using? Also I’m relatively close to Frederick and own property out chincoteague so I would definitely love to look into the club Solid catches 💪💪💪
Ok yea I'm from middletown so close to frederick went there a few years ago and fished I mean hard all week 2 shorts I was using bucktails think mine were to heavy.
We filleted them up, used bread crumbs for breading and seared them in a skillet with some oil and butter. Used a seasoning from a local grocery store called Christopher's. They were delicious! Still have some fillets we would like to broil with crab meat as well.

What bait do you recommend for catching any fish cause me and my family are going in August
Can I ask what size jig heads you were using thank you
We were mainly using 1/4 or 1/2 ounce jigheads

Is this style of tournament sustainable
How do you plan to cook those flounder?
Filets probably there really isn’t another way
@@PocketAALures I was wondering if he was going to beer batter them, broil them with crab meat, or something to that effect.

Who host the tourney?
The Frederick Saltwater Anglers club!
Would it be sketchy to fish this in a 14 ft jon
