Hiya, Tim! Well, the last 3 weeks have been a lot of different stuff, but these two are definitely even more different than what I tend to run! Take care!
This was another special moment. Since Horst gave me this in June, 2023, I have wanted to convert it and run it on the layout. And now it's doing just that! Take care and thanks, Carl!
Hi Anthony, I missed the notification on this latest Analog to Digital conversion. Very nicely done , after programming all the functions it worked perfectly. Good to see you cured the noisy running, its so much better. 2 more very nice Locos to add to your collection. Cheers, Paul. 👍👍🙏
Hi there, Paul. The Nice thing is, I do not have to program the functions. It is all pre-set on the decoder. That's why I like these decoders... simple to install for these Allstrom motors, and ready to go when installed.
Well, thanks, Andy. The Railbus was especially pleasing as I have wanted to do it for @ 18 months, but was intimidated when I first opened. After doing a few of these motors, this one was actually rather simple overall.
Very well done, the Schienenbus was ubiquitous in the 50s and 60s Märklin layouts, I love it. Now you could add one or two Märklin 4018 which are frequently on sale on eBay. Best regards, Rolando Cordero, Costa Rica
Well, I will have to get the other half (the 4018). I suppose there is some other stock I could have it pull, but I am happy having this one running after 18 months debating it.
Hi Anthony Love the Schienenbus, it look like a old model. You did good making both locomotive in to dcc and they ran great. Hope you're both well. Colin
The Schienenbus is from the 1960s (62-69? Somewhere in there). I do not know if that is old, but it is roughly younger than me, so... I consider it old. lol I am thrilled to have a gift from Horst now mechanically ready for my layout, along with everything I picked up from Herb. Cheers!!
Dankjewel, Ian. Ik ben erg enthousiast over de railbus, want ik heb er 18 maanden op gewacht. En nu is het klaar! Pas goed op jezelf en bedankt voor je steun!
Missing the traction tyre makes the body push harder on the ski and might also cause the flange to hit the sleepers as you miss about half a millimeter of the running surface of the wheel
Hi, Steve. Technically, I have been a digital kind of guy since day one, but if I want to run these units on my layout, they need the decoder. Fortunately, Märklin designed a very specific and perfectly fitting decoder for this type of motor. Take care.
Very well done Anthony, looking forward to seeing them both running on Friday 👍
Me, too, Tim!! I am very eager to see how they perform!
Hi Anthony! Very cool!! Love the old Schienenbus!! Again, it will start it's second life on your layout!! Nice!!
Hello, Dirk! I am definitely pleased to take this gift from Horst (not Herb as in all the other stuff) and let it run free again! Take care!
Fabulous Video, made like a professional, keep up the fine work ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😁
Genius. The pair looked so cool running round. So different to what we are used to seeing on the layout. Bravo young man. All the best.

That Schienenbus, is very cool. Love old trains

Hi Anthony 👍 you’re getting into this electronics. Great to see these get converted to run on the main layout.
All the best to you and the family
Andy
Hi, Andy... well, it is a necessity, so I don't know if I am getting into it, just forced to do it to run them. lol Take care!

Nice work.
More running locos for your livestream. 👍
Happy Trains
Indeed. I have 3 more to go, but I am out of decoders for the time being. Take care!
Very satisfying outcome, nicely done.

Thanks for watching!
Your doing a good job on working on these engines keep up the great work 👍🏻💪🏻😊
Thank you very much, Dwight. I am learning slowly.
Nice to see the Schienenbus running again, AD, hope you will put the other part of it running too later at the live stream ... have fun

Great Job the train runs fine
Thanks, Arthur!
Cool looking bus
It is definitely very different from what I am used to running! Take care, James!

@ModelTrainOutsider I would say that's a old train and a sign of quality.

The small angle plates for the ground are available. E231470 for 10 pack.
Cool, thanks for the tip.

Yep, as shown... the traction tire was added and it runs so much more smoothly.
I had a twisted traction tire. That ran with a strange bumb also.
Now that your getting good at decoder installs. You can put the Blunami board in my Lionel gp9 southern pacific black widow. Just kidding
Oh heavens, no, Rick! lol This is as simple as it gets, and thus I am able to do it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
You're just a digital kind of guy these days!
