Thank-you for this beautiful song. There are many to honor, even today.
The Battle Hymn of the Republic has stayed in the hearts of Americans since Julia Ward Howe wrote its lyrics In 1861. It lives today thanks to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and others who keep it alive.
Second only to Ronan Tynan's version at President Bush's funeral...this is the very best on UA-cam. Well done Dallyn.
I sang this at the memorial day festival in washington dc at the kennedy center with a huge choir filled with people aged 14-70. we were conducted by a 94 year old ww2 vet. i hope to feel that patriotic and proud again in my life.
Vanessa McLean lol I was there too
Wonderful song
Wonderful arranging and composing
Worlds greatest choir
Wonderful tribute
All ducks are in a row here
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I did a choral arrangement of this in D. C. as a sophomore in high school in 2013
I think this particular homage to the fallen is extraordinary. Thank you.
Found this after George H.W. Bush's funeral. Beautiful!!
The patriots live in Utah!
there are patriots in many places, my friend.
Though Larry Grossman did write the inspiring music for "The Last Full Measure of Devotion," and Ian Fraser did write the wonderful arrangement, it would seem only right to give credit as well to the person who wrote the words to this moving song. His name is Buz kohan, and he would greatly appreciate it if you correct the title card you have been running at the start of the performances to include him as well. Thank you in advance. Buz Kohan
albuzko: I saw it in the narration if you scroll down to the narrative.
Thomas Schoon But they misspelled it.
Of course, the lyrics were also written by Abraham Lincoln.
R.I.P GEORGE BUSH
Where can I find the sheet music for the vocal solo?
only available in SATB as an octavo, or as a concert band arrangement - nothing for piano/vocal ........yet.
Gerard Butler should sing this song! I think he'd be a good one to sing it!
