I think Italy totally deserved to be the winner. And they were actually the winner in televoting, it's the juries that pushed them back to the third place. It's not really fair. Sweden was okay but Italy totally had the best entry. So much class and power in their song, shame it didn't make it to the top just because of the jury system. My top 5 was like this: Italy, Australia, Sweden, Belgium, Latvia.
Malta Plays I think Australia has all the rights to stay permanately. They been fans 60 yrs and hoping for their chance. I too hope they will come back 2016.
Lijana Veilentaitė Same. And I will be so forever and ever it seems. I believe in them and love them so much. They sing so well. As a young person (23) I really look up to them. So much talent!
The Australia-Italy conversation was one of the million examples that show that Eurovision is connecting different people, regardless where they are from, what music they like etc. It's just wonderful!
An Ton It's because RAI (italian broadcaster) are suckers. First they sent our best possible entry, then they realized they wouldn't earn as much money as they lust for from hosting next edition, and so they fixed up things by the aid of juries. They should have thought twice before wasting a winning chance like we have no others in italian depressing music landscape, and before making their own "favourite sons" go through such a scandal.
I can't believe Il volo didn't won. I have been in love with their beautiful music for about two years now. I hope they be in Dom. Rep. soon again ¡Los amo! 💗
Guy Sebastian really summed it up when describing what Eurovision is all about. And the conversation with one of the Italian contestants at the end of this clip demonstrated humanity at its absolute best. And Guy's parting comment "And now we drink" is so typically Aussie! Well done Guy!
Alexander Gauci We will wait and see...even if we do not compete, it would be great for Eurovision to invite an Australian singer/songwriter to perform as a special guest at the Grand Final.
Someone please tell Gianluca that they ended up first by the televoting, so of course, they'll definetely make it big and enjoy a lot of success if they continue like this Wonderful performance by Italy, though Mäns was also really good
***** Based on televoting Italy got the first place, Russia is second and Sweden is 3rd if looking at these 3 performances only. But judges left Italy at 3rd, Russia where it should be and Sweden 1st. Unfair. I am russian but Italy won tonight. Go to eurovision.tv/page/results
im so happy for all of the results! ive loved mans for years so it was great to see him with this amazing performance. im also really proud of belgium with a great unique song and australia surprising us all and leaving their mark for a special occasion. much love from the netherlands!
I think the 5 countries UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany are at a disadvantage, because they are not in the semi-final, as they already have a pass they should still do a guest performance in the semi's so people can see/hear their songs. I think that was also the problem for Austria/or any country hosting. All the songs in the semi-finals had a lot of UA-cam views, the 5 countries and Austria not so many views. Italy had a good song but if it had been buried in the middle, it wouldn't have had the same impact as going last. I did a poll on UA-cam views and the 4 with the least views were Austria, UK, Germany and France, which was reflected in the voting.
Ryan Cleary Yes, some of the songs grow on you. I think the organisers need to think about how they can better present those 5 countries, and the host country next year.
Mungo Lewis *"as they already have a pass they should still do a guest performance in the semi's so people can see/hear their songs"* Very good idea! (Better yet, remove the "free-ticket-don't-have-to-work-for-it", but I think that that'd be too much to ask for haha, so go with it.)
I agree, however in order to not be unfair, i think that the big five should stop paying more than the others for the contest, and the consequence would be an increase of the fee for all the other competing countries. However, it would make things fair for everybody. The concept of big five should disappear including their bigger financial support.
My reaction was a mess. I was so shocked but not surprised at some things..... I still can't get over that Sweden won! I like the song but their were so many more acts that deserved first place! And I don't even know if I want to watch the Eurovision next year because I'm so board of going to Sweden to see the contest! I did not expect Russia to get as high as that! But the song has really grown on me since I have seen the life performances... I was praying it would win over Sweden . Italy did very well but I expected it to get at least 1st or 2nd... Nothing much to say about the other countries because it was literally a race between these three. But Belgium did very very well. I was not expecting fourth! Australia did not surprise me. Latvia surprised me a lot actually! I personally find the song very annoying but ye know. Estonia surprised me also! I expected top 5! Norway I thought were going to win . Israel did very well and I am very happy!!! Serbia I think was the big shocker! I'm so glad it came 10th! Spain did terrible! I thought it would of been top ten! Funny UK, France, Austria and Germany all came in the bottom 4 and they are all in the 'big 7' and Spain wasn't too far behind. I was the most upset when Germany came last and got no points.... Germany's song was incredible and deserved much more than that!
I f you just look at their faces, most of them look shocked or somehow dissapointed. But I love their Humility and Kindness with each other. Too much talent this year!
POLINA TEHE BEST!!!MILLION FIRST PLACE! This message of peace and love! There are no races, no prejudices, but only love, love, love and a million voices!!!)))
***** relax, it's first reaction. Nobody in Russia expected high results, but now we are shocked.Your Swedish song writers are very talented. Thanks them a lot.
Alex from the UK was genuinely humble. Acknowledged defeat but knowing that they did their best and the song is a good song (it really is) but knowing on the night it wouldn't stack up. As unfair as it is to say that some countries have to work harder than others to win, the UK fits into that category. The UK are to win, they need a song that is even better than Sweden's song this year. they will also have to work harder than countries like Sweden who tend to naturally do well. I feel that the BBC got some things right this year- getting the song organised faster, have a great video, went to all the Eurovision parties etc. I hope next year, they will get an act that is more accessible to Europeans and maybe even do some promoting in nations that don't usually award points to the UK- like what Jade did in 2009.
To be honest, i actually think that uks song was better than sweden, but the live Performance from uk was one of the worst ive Seen in Eurovision. Im really sad they didnt think of a better choreography
Yeah, our song was really bland if you ask me. It would never have gotten the score it did if it wasn't for the performance and Måns' pretty face. It certainly wasn't my favorite from Melodifestivalen this year. :P
Hahaha OMG Knez and the guy from UK looked totally tipsy! I loved those entries btw. Sadly, Swedish victory was decided by 5 people for each country and not by the audience. Anyway our lovely Gianluca said it all: Volare by Domenico Modugno came third in ESC too!
Shen Kai Australia loves Europe! It'd be great to come back next year, but if we don't, we still had a great time this year. If it's not us, hopefully we can see another country get an invitation.
frankiegetup I hope Australia gets to be a permanent participant from now on. Your country is always fair and right with the voting. (I mean not only this year, as far as I know you do your own voting every year and I always check Aussie votes as well.)
Ulaşcan Y. Cheers, I hope we are fair. I think, for the most part, we take it at face value - a song contest. It's a bit of fun, and something that isn't dominated by U.S.-influenced commercial music (which is successful in its own right, but we crave something different).
I can't believe we won this year again! ^^;; I was hoping for Italy, Australia or Belgium(or even Estonia) and I was voting several times for them. Especially Italy. My friends were laughing at me because I was sitting in front of the screen yelling "Noo!" everytime we(Sweden) got 12 points in the voting. Now I have to buy my co-worker a round of drinks 'cause I bet against us winning. I was so certain it would be Italy or Australia. :P
Happy to amuse you. It was pretty funny I guess. ;) I really think Italy was snubbed of the victory though. Especially since it turns out that Sweden and Italy's places would be reversed if you only count the televotes. :P I like the idea of "professional" judges; but maybe they should have a little less power than the people? Maybe 30% Judges and 70% Televotes?
Devilchu The idea of "professional" judges is not bad...I personally think they did good things as well this year (they helped Norway's song which imho was a really quality song to place higher than it would have with just the televotes), but on the other hand it was kind of a disaster... I think you are right, and the 30%-70% thing would be a fair alternative..I mean, they may be "experts", but who decides that they actually are? And how can we be certain they will do their work without being corrupted? They were five people per country but they had so much power that they completely reversed the Italy-Sweden situation.......not that I'm mad at Sweden as a country nor that I wanted Italy to win THAT much, but the fact that we had a chance after so many years and that they took it away from us this way is kind of unnerving...and also sad, because it doesn't often happen that we're so largely appreciated...it looks like we're not allowed to ahah
Hori Law I agree. People spend a lot of money and should get a bigger say in the voting. The diaspora effect will probably affect the amount of points given to neighboring countries, but we have seen both this year and last that certain countries juries can't be trusted to vote "professionally" either. Two juries were disqualified this year and I believe there was one last year as well. Hopefully the system will change next year since there has been a lot of outcries against the current system this year. Il Volo are very popular though and they can still be proud to be the winners of the people this year. Though I was also looking forward to see Italy host next year. :/
Devilchu Indeed...I think I would be really really angry if I was one of the people who spent so much money to vote for a country that then gets (purposedly, maybe?) put down for no actual reason...... I know many people have complained but I wonder if something will actually change..would be nice to try another system, though...in the end, we have had neighboor voting with this system as well, so... That's completely true...may I ask..were they known in Sweden before Eurovision?
Btw I am pretty sure that in a few years time Grande Amore will become a huge hit on par with Volare. Volare is also in Italian...maybe people appreciated this beautiful language more then.
Ali Gürel italian tv is one of the best in the world and yes, we have a lot of money in despite of what a lot of people say. Mans is a child, he won only because of his appearence and its song is copied by lovers on the sun.... SO......................
I'm so thankful that Sweden won! Not because of the song or the singer (Although they are great! Don't get it wrong!), but because of SVT!!! They are always the best hosting this contest! Hope to see the amazement that was 2013 again next year!... ***And Petra: PLEASE COME BACK!!!***
REMOVE THE JURY SYSTEM! Italy is the real winner! The whole Europe voted for Italy but 200 people prefered a usual-shitty-pop song to win... REMOVE THE JURY SYSTEM EBU!!!
Charlie Harrison and it's a shame, czech's song is beautiful, much more beautiful than other songs that made it to the final...glad to see that at least many ppl are disappointed with the results, realizing it was all already planned :/
BestOfEdm mans zelmerlow was a huge star since 1997 .., stadium mega concerts in 1998 , im not surprised at all ....people is discovering now who is he ... (18 years later) but for me it was pretty obvious
BestOfEdm -CONGRATS UK OMG SUCH A GOOD SONG I CRIED SO MANY TEARS WHEN I WATCHED THEIR PASSIONATE PERFORMANCE THEY SHOULD HAVE WON WHY THE HELL DID SWEDEN WIN- >*sarcasm*
BestOfEdm Based on televoting Italy got the first place, Russia is second and Sweden is 3rd if looking at these 3 performances only. But judges left Italy at 3rd, Russia where it should be and Sweden 1st. Unfair. I am russian but Italy won tonight. Go to eurovision.tv/page/results
Shine Naruto Yeah I just saw the summarized televoting results too. That was shocking. I really wanted Italy to win :( Such a disconnect between the juries and the voters. Sheesh.
Awww why is everyone so beautiful !? Australia was amazing, it would be nice to see them in eurovision more! I loved Italy's and Estonia's song but Sweden was good too, congratulations :) Greetings from Finland! ♥
aaaahhhh WHY the winner wasn't Itallyyyyyy? i mean let them be, cmon Swede you've won an Eurovision besides, more people vote for Italy than Sweden... i mean, come on
France is already wondering if they should disappear from the contest for at least one or two years. When you are bottom 5 for 4 years in a row it becomes annoying. I mean twin twin were awful but amandine lisa and anggun were not that bad.
Taddeus Gozer Don't really see why we (UK) bother anymore, only Ireland and Malta ever vote for us consistently. We will never leave though as the BBC gain too many viewing figures from it.
Taddeus Gozer ....Eurovision is an opportunity for up and coming performers/artists to showcase their talent to an audience that is larger than the one that exists within their own countries. However, Eurovision is more than that. It's an event that celebrates diversity within humanity through the medium of music. It's about participating, not winning. It's about putting aside differences and celebrating life. Need I remind you that 'Eurovision' began 10 years after the conclusion of WWII as a way of mending the hearts and minds of people after the atrocities of death and destruction that was inflicted in Europe. While you and others may perceive that there may be valid reasons for changes to be made to the 'Eurovision' system of judgement, to take away 'Eurovision' entirely will be an unfortunate decision as this may further increase tensions between cultures and countries that still exists in Europe. I would prefer to see, witness and celebrate differences in humanity through this medium rather than through an alternative avenue of military action. In saying that, if you believe that the 'Big 5' has outgrown 'Eurovision' and are deserving of a bigger challenge, then I would suggest to focus you attention to a larger, global audience. By marketing and investing your artists onto the world stage through events such as 'The Grammys', then this would be a big step in the right direction.
I really missed a lot of countries in the finale( Belarus, Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, Iceland for example) and also I really wished Spain had won. She did great and it impressed me more than Swedens performance. Mans is a great guy and winner though, but it would have been nice to see a different country win this year.
The fact that Sweden and Latvia were high proves that music goes on like technology. People expect something fresh. Something groundbreaking. Maybe only the hosts should dictly go to the final. This will make France and UK send a decent entry.
Im guessing this is like the electoral college and popular vote in the US ? Cause the popular vote barely matters just like the televote. It all really depends on the electoral college just like this competition is really about the jurors? Smh! Can Il Volo come back next time?
"...and now we drink" Wonderful comments. Love the spirit of music bringing people together. That's exactly what I felt in Malmö and Köbenhavn.
You're lucky to attend these shows ;-)
Now sweeden before you say anything.
But The United Kingdom has one of the best songs ever and we demand thst trophy belongs to us
This is an Australian thing.
Did anyone else think "awww, how nice" when Guy and the Italian guy hugged
I think Italy totally deserved to be the winner. And they were actually the winner in televoting, it's the juries that pushed them back to the third place. It's not really fair. My top 5 was like this: Italy, Australia, Sweden, Belgium, Latvia.
For me the highlight was Australia and Italy's conversation. For real it's great and emotional! :D I want Australia back. At least every 2 Years?
***** REALLY? Where was that said?
Okay. Thanks. I'll start searching for the info.
Malta Plays I think Australia has all the rights to stay permanately. They been fans 60 yrs and hoping for their chance. I too hope they will come back 2016.
Malta Plays than I wanna that the US is joining too!
Thomas von Müller Everyone should join! Then it'll be a WORLDvision!
Still totally in shock Il Volo didnt win. Im so upset.
Same
Lijana Veilentaitė Same. And I will be so forever and ever it seems. I believe in them and love them so much. They sing so well. As a young person (23) I really look up to them. So much talent!
Im so upset too, but il volo had more points than anybody, and they are the real winners
***** I know Stefano. But the total of televotes are 9 million more than Sweden. Better luck next time Italy :(
they really deserved to win! I'm disaponited too!
My favorite is Italy- IL Volo - regards from Perú
Italy is the actual winner
The Australia-Italy conversation was one of the million examples that show that Eurovision is connecting different people, regardless where they are from, what music they like etc. It's just wonderful!
I don't understand why Italy won televote 100 points above Sweden and lost in jury?
Can you tell me where I can find the results of the televoting please?
Jannek Dietrich eurovision . tv EBU released all the results, televoting and jury
Thank you very much :)
An Ton That already happened in San Remo. Il Volo won thanks to the televote, because the juries voted for another song.
Gianluca and Guy are adorable omg I melted 😭😍💘
Il volo were the best. That song is already well known in latin america wich is the biggest market for any artist from europe
STOP THE JURIES, LET THE PEOPLE CHOOSE WHO WILL WIN!
Exactly!
TheGoaBase Both are as bad as each other imho.
***** The people chose a quality song like Molitva in 2007. To hell with singing in English!
No lol because "the people" seem to prefer dancing grannies, rapping spacemen and hot Polish milkmaids instead.
My two countries respecting each other like that makes me so proud! Australia and Italia ❤️
"And now we drink." This is why Guy is a lovely...... well..... guy.
I can't believe Il volo didn't won. I have been in love with their beautiful music for about two years now. I hope they be in Dom. Rep. soon again ¡Los amo! 💗
Worst winner ever and the voting was a total mess.
Definitely german
Mike Hunt Agree, cause its just a pop song, that dont have strong message to people in Modern Europe!
***** All I got from Germany's performance was ASS ASS ASS. Sorry.
*****
It's a compliment. Sort of.
Mike Hunt Polina has a far better performance, a better voice and better lyrics, too bad her country's reputation shadowed her performance.

This is the reason of ESC be a successiful show. The friendship between different cultures. Bravo Australia! Bravo Italy!
And now. We drink.
Congratulations from Russia, Mans! ;)
***** Да какого Х**!??? Какие поздравления могут быть!? Полина на порядок лучше! Как так вообще!?
Evgeniy Raldugin Согласен, но все же, главное уважение. :)

BELGIUM!!
Tyy
***** I'm from Austria and i loved the Belgium song! :)
Thank you from Belgium 😊
The Montenegrin guy is a mood.
Also the friendship between that Italian guy and Australian guy is pretty darn cute.
Congratulations Sweden from Finland

I f you just look at their faces, most of them look shocked or somehow dissapointed. But I love their Humility and Kindness with each other. Too much talent this year!
Italy was robbed, while the European public voted for an unique beautiful song, the jury was blinded by some silly lights..
Congratulations but sad that belgium didnt win

Amasing! i liked the australian's words: "And now we drink!' ;-)
So proud if Il Volo
Everyone loves Australia. I can't disagree. Awesome song and performance. I wouldn't mind to see some Australian company again next year! ;)

Btw I am pretty sure that in a few years time Grande Amore will become a huge hit on par with Volare. Volare is also in Italian...maybe people appreciated this beautiful language more then.
aww Gianluca
Il voló fantastic, The best 💗
Why are everybody hating... its your own fault that you voted for Sweden
xFoks Whats your favorite artist? (mine is Polina!) =))
***** amen and they tell you don't complain. I voted for Italy who came 1st in telyvoting us voters have every right to complain what a joke!
***** Jury and televotes has not even been revealed yet, stop spreading your false information!
***** Where do you have that information from?
Ali Gürel italian tv is one of the best in the world and yes, we have a lot of money in despite of what a lot of people say. Mans is a child, he won only because of his appearence and its song is copied by lovers on the sun.... SO......................
gianluca! my boy! tanti baci dalla Grecia :*
Il volo is the Víctor of people's heart.Televote results indicate that
I'm so thankful that Sweden won!
REMOVE THE JURY SYSTEM EBU!!!
lefteris49619 Thanks to the juries the Czech Republic didn't make it to the final, they were top 10 in televote. :(
lefteris49619 Italy was typical old-fashione ballad with very tipical schematic lyrics
Italy was quite boring tho
Charlie Harrison and it's a shame, czech's song is beautiful, much more beautiful than other songs that made it to the final...glad to see that at least many ppl are disappointed with the results, realizing it was all already planned :/
Baton and sweden was typical old fashioned boyband song (even if sang by one) with schematic lyrics
Love it! Building bridges!!
eurovision really makes me happy to watch people from all over europe and australia get together and have fun
Congrats Sweden!
BestOfEdm mans zelmerlow was a huge star since 1997 .., stadium mega concerts in 1998 , im not surprised at all ....people is discovering now who is he ... (18 years later) but for me it was pretty obvious
BestOfEdm -CONGRATS UK OMG SUCH A GOOD SONG I CRIED SO MANY TEARS WHEN I WATCHED THEIR PASSIONATE PERFORMANCE THEY SHOULD HAVE WON WHY THE HELL DID SWEDEN WIN-
>*sarcasm*
BestOfEdm Based on televoting Italy got the first place, Russia is second and Sweden is 3rd if looking at these 3 performances only. But judges left Italy at 3rd, Russia where it should be and Sweden 1st. Unfair. I am russian but Italy won tonight. Go to eurovision.tv/page/results
steve vazquez I'm not even Swedish. I'm Dutch and I'm just congratulating the winner. And you can't say the song was bad.
Shine Naruto
Yeah I just saw the summarized televoting results too. That was shocking. I really wanted Italy to win :(
Such a disconnect between the juries and the voters. Sheesh.
Aww Gianluca is a sweetheart
Loïc is such a cupcake
I am extremely sad because Italy haven't won... They deserved it...
Sweden had the best Eurovision Song, but my heart beat for Belgium
!!!Italy and Belgium!!!from Greece
Lol did anyone realize
In 2012 Sweden came first and Russia came second haha mans was awesome he deserved it. Can't wait for next year!
Chantelle Calleja Loreen was very good, Mans isn't... It's that simple.
maravalhadas BS. Mans is just as good as loreen.
Skye Michele Nah. The difference is: I remenber Loreen's music from 3 years ago. Man's music... tomorrow will not remenber.
maravalhadas Totally agreed..
but i didn't state that one was better... how did this turn kind of like a fight...?
Loïc well done!
Deserved 12 points from Netherlands :)!
Awww why is everyone so beautiful !?
Australia was amazing, it would be nice to see them in eurovision more!
I loved Italy's and Estonia's song but Sweden was good too, congratulations :) Greetings from Finland! ♥
Australian guy understands better what's the most important thing in Eurovision than some of europeans...
By the way, Montenegro was my favorite.
aaaahhhh WHY the winner wasn't Itallyyyyyy? i mean let them be, cmon Swede you've won an Eurovision
besides, more people vote for Italy than Sweden... i mean, come on
I prefered Loïc or Polina or Aminata but OK.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, EUROPE? Spain 21? Germany 0 POINTS? REALLY? No more BIG 5 for """EURO"""vision
"And now we drink"...trust the Australian to initiate that...
CONGRATULATIONS ITALY! :D
People from Italy Germany France Spain and UK listen to me: stop following this huge farce, it's pointless and depressing!
--
France is already wondering if they should disappear from the contest for at least one or two years. When you are bottom 5 for 4 years in a row it becomes annoying. I mean twin twin were awful but amandine lisa and anggun were not that bad.
GOOD I'M ITALY AND I'M ANGREE WITH YOU!
mangafan78 start a new contest with only the big5
Mans is a great guy and winner though, but it would have been nice to see a different country win this year.
oh my God I'm gonna miss this year's Eurovision journey... So bittersweet :'l
The fact that Sweden and Latvia were high proves that music goes on like technology. People expect something fresh. Something groundbreaking. Maybe only the hosts should dictly go to the final. This will make France and UK send a decent entry.
Italy will always be my winner of Eurovision 2015!
I'm also very disappointed with how low some of my favorite songs scored such as Germany and Spain.
I was surprised at how well Europe liked Latvia, I'm very glad!
My top 3 Sweden Belgium and Australia
Polina and her team gave us such an awesome performance! Thank you Russia!
I want Australia back the next year!
so are italy and australia brest bros right now?
Poor Loic(( he is sad i see
Moomina He has nothing to be sad about, he came 4th and crossed 100 points. He didn't suffer the same fate as Germany and Austria....lol
Moomina He got the best result for his country in 12 years. I think he is pleased with the result.
furkangoth definitely!! I think he was happy at that moment!
I want an #Americanvision (not only USA, all the continent)
LucasArgYT Congrats Sweden, love it.
No. We have terrible artists right now and the only person who would win everything is beyonce or taylor swift. We will make the competition worse
Guy Sebastian is the best! From Belarus.
I love guy. I wish him luck
Im guessing this is like the electoral college and popular vote in the US ? Cause the popular vote barely matters just like the televote. It all really depends on the electoral college just like this competition is really about the jurors? Smh! Can Il Volo come back next time?
Черногорский Стас Михайлов порадовал xDD
Awww, I wanted Italy to win-or at least Russia :(
Belgium was so good 💞
Oh my god, Australia and Italy was so kyoot!
#buildingbridges!
Anyways, good show! Can't wait for the next year!
Isnt Sweden sick of making eurovision again ?
They love this competition and their pride is not to be stopped yet, we noticed this year.
MisterPotatoBag They kinda making a Eurovision of their own every year.
Man I hope Australia can come back, Eurovision is awesome. PLEASE INVITE US BACK.
If you do our next performance will involve Kangaroos, I promise.
Polina is so cute and innocent! Love!
Apparently Australia might become a permanent participant following some reports from John Ola Sand to the swedish broadcasters :o
:(
More reactions!
alex trying to stay positive 😩
"...and now we drink" Nothing more Australia! LMAO.
@ 0:55 "Totally uttering" :) Lithuania, that doesn't really make sense
