Ruito Okamoto (Kokushikan University) at ONE Gymnastics Festa 2023

Ruito Okamoto: After graduating from Kokushikan High School, he joined the Kokushikan University MRG Team in 2021. For this young athlete, 2023 turned out to be an amazing year. He was ranked 5th at the "Eastern Japan Inter-Collegiate RG Championship" and 4th at the "All Japan Inter-Collegiate" in August. In October 2023, at the most prestigious "All Japan RG Championship", he was ranked 9th for all around, 5th for stick final and 6th for ring final.
[Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics] Men’s rhythmic gymnastics (MRG) is a sport invented in Japan nearly 70 years ago. There are two variations of MRG, individuals (where gymnasts perform with one of four apparatus) and group, which focuses on tumbling, flexibility, balance, and synchronization. Today there are nearly 2,000 men’s rhythmic gymnasts active in Japan, from junior clubs up through top universities.
