I have the same situation with my pair ,,, no aggression at all. Really quite cute but with no 'typical' betta behaviours its hard to know when and if to take the usual step by step process, removing female etc..
Gus, what you have there is a freaken anomaly. I'd scrap the idea of getting them to mate and just let them be. They will either turn on each other after they give up on mateing , or they'll persevere and figure it out eventually. Just enjoy this fluke of nature , video them a lot and enjoy. (This is my opinion only. I have self learned experiences and am in no way a professional fish banger setter upper. Just wanted to put that out there. Good luck)
Obviously you have very little knowledge of beta fish. Please do not give advice or make suffesriins based on your limited knowledge. Unless you are making your own video you should only comment about the reasons you like or dislike the content
