During rehearsal for this performance Aida jokingly said She did not worry about losing her voice as DIMASH could sing both parts. All 3 Had great fun doing this performance and made it a fantastic concert, one of my favorites.
This was a live concert in Moscow for Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday celebration. The whole concert is worth checking out. If you don't already know, Igor Krutoy is the man at the piano who frequently accompanies Dimash. He is a famous Ukrainian/Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter, who has composed music for and performed with renowned singers in classical and contemporary music, such as Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Aida Garifullina, Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Allegrova, and others. As you already know, he ended his retirement after watching one of Dimash's performances so that he could compose music that only someone with Dimash's vocal ability could sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Passione, Ave Maria, Stranger, just to name a few. You are already familiar with Lara Fabian. Aida Garifullina is a Russian lyric soprano of Tatar origin and in 2013 started performing at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg. An expensive Pianist worth about 20 to 30 billion dollars. Ukrainian born Krutoy came out of retirement to work with DIMASH to compose and produce music. Their are TV clips of the two of them clowning together, in one they were playing music in rehearsal for the tv skit and DIMASH was playing an acoustic guitar and broke into playing Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean". The two of them have the same mindset about many things concerning music, singing and acting.
I love the look on Igor's face at the end, like a proud father. Igor is not just a pianist, he is a world renowned composer. Love this song and loved that whole ice show that was in honour of Igor's birthday.
Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It has been commented on that during rehearsals Aidia claimed she had to skip one of the practice sessions but it would be ok for the others to continue practising as Dimash could also sing her part until she came back. Laura was apparently quite ill and under the weather during this performance but still managed to sing magnificently. If one knows this and closely watches her performance she does appear to be a little less fresh or perky than her normal self although the voice seems fine.

Laura was apparently quite ill and under the weather during this performance but still managed to sing magnificently. If one knows this and closely watches her performance she does appear to be a little less fresh or perky than her normal self although the voice seems fine.
