Yes sound bar is a turd, but everything you added made it amazing! Can’t even tell that things back there. Also you may be the first person to make Bronco audio install video on UA-cam!
Great video. This should be the first video anyone who plans to modify their bronco watches, regardless of what they plan to do. I know I'll be referencing back to it multiple times.
This definitely helped me with some ideas for mine in the future. Just got a '22 Bronco and the audio is very disappointing. I understand why the speakers are located where they are, but they could've put forth a better product regardless of that. Definitely something I need to do in the future. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Thank you on the Metra hardware! I've done the 4 inch speakers! But February in Canada sucks 😂 6"speakers are a few weeks away! 12inch sub all in one amp sounds much better! Thank you!
Thanks for this video. One of the more helpful ones I've seen on upgrading the sound system in Broncos. Unfortunately, I'm not close to you, but curious as to what a guy should budget for a stereo upgrade like this? For labor and parts?
I finally got my Bronco in May and I just swapped out all my 6 speakers for Skar Audio. Much better, I'm thinking about attaching my sub box to the tailgate.
Great video saved me the trouble of getting the factory JBL sound bar. I knew it cost too much and I don't want to waste my hard earned money on junk. Appreciate your input. I'll look at the Powerbase XL 1250 as you mentioned. Is there any other sound bar that you would recommend?
I am holding out for a JL Audio Stealthbox or i am going to do a rear seat delete and try to incorporate the subs and amps into the floor. A company called Goose-Gear has a 2dr rear seat delete. I plan to replace the 4” ones rite away.
I was going to do an under-seat sub, but I couldn't find a solution that wouldn't also interfere with the rear vent Heating and A/C. The Bronco has rear seat climate, but the climate control vents for the rear come from underneath driver and passenger front seats. That's true for everything w/ a Mid-package and up. In looking back at the video it looks like the Bronco is a Base SAS, so I'm guessing it doesn't have that package... But, for Mid-packages and up, you'll have to do something else for your bass. I ending up going with a 12" Kicker downfiring sub with 12" radiator. It fits nicely in the back. You can still fully access the back panel in the floor, and the box only sits 1-2" higher than the rear seats when folded down.
Great video! you made it look simple.. I’m still working on my sound system. Great tip on the front top dash speakers! worked out good.. I went with a Kicker System.
Would you get a better sound stage if you ran those like components? Just run a mid-bass in the kick and cross them over at a frequency that gets a flat response? Why did you choose 300 hz crossover point?
Thank you! Just got my Black Diamond today and wanted to get that sound bar but not now. So you dont have to go behind the dash to wire a sub? The last install I did was my 06 Mini, 2 12" Orion subs in a sealed box with a 2000 watt california suncoast amp, Kenwood head unit.
quick question. We have harsh winters over here. If the rear passenger gets in with a lotta snow on his boots. Is there a chance that the snow or water could damage the sub under the seat? I have a 4-doors. there should be enough room. But I''m still wondering
Thank you so much!!! I hate how you have the Spend an extra $15k from Base to get the Badlands Trim and then $4k for the LUX Package (to get the B&O Sound System) which is 10 speakers.....Ford Should have definitely offered mid-level sound system option. I'm going Base + Sasquatch + After market Sound system .
Just watched the video. Great work. I have a 2022 OBX with the lux package. As you know, the speakers suck. The rear speakers attached to the upper bars are already blown. What is your suggestion to replace all the speakers? Will I need to add a crossover or is it possible just to replace all the speakers.?
They did because it removes the high pass from the rears and converts to full range when they do. Its honestly just not enough power to drive the soundbar properly.
I have a 12'' JL audio sub in the back of my tahoe now. Since the trunk is smaller would you reccomend going for one of the JBLs under the seat? Looks interesting... never heard of them.
I noticed on my 2 door that there is a big cavity in the tail gate. There is a plastic cover for venting. Would that be a good place for a sub and kicker speaker o not lose the under seat floor space or do you think that it would be so far back and buried behind four seats it would lose its power?
New Sub for life here! So I noticed the Bass blocker says for 6"x9", but you used it on a 4" speaker is that ok to do? Is it ok to use on speakers up to that size? Also I was wanting a bit more bass, so I was looking at "JBL BassPro SL 8-inch 125W RMS Powered Under-Seat Compact Subwoofer Enclosure", would that be an ok substitute for the Nano you mentioned in this video? Would it fit under the seat still? Thanks, great video.
Yes, the Bass Blockers frequency are very "safe" as far as what the packaging says they are for. If you're using a quality speaker, then they can handle those frequencies that are lower than what the package recommends. As far as if the other sub you're referring to will fit, I am not sure. You can always look up the model I used and see its measurements to compare.
Awesome 👍 I'm currently looking for better sound . Question is there any way you can show how you striped wire crimped connection to speak and what wire is what , I watched your video the four wires on kick speaker got me aha ?
Here is what is listed for the Vehicle. Rear Right Spkr (+) Green/violet (-) Gray Rear Left Spkr (+) Grey/Violet (-) Brown/Green Left Front Dash (+) Green/Blue (-) Gray/Blue Left Front Kick (+) Blue (-) Gray/Brown Right Front Dash (+) Violet/Gray (-) Yellow/Gray Right Front Kick (+) Yellow/Orange (-) Green/Brown Hope That helps
No, it's running off the Factory Radio; however, Ford does the Flashing. They flash the factory radio to change the crossover and EQ curve for the soundbar.

Man, this was a really good job. Do you still do car audio? I am only about 3.5 hours south of you. Would love to have you do a nice high-end audio system in my Bronco when I get it, if you would.
Yep, I'm still doing audio systems here in Rossville, Indiana. If you go to my site at car765.com, you can get the phone number. Feel free to text that number and let me know how I can help.
@@CustomAudioReimaginedThanks, man. I'll contact you... I'm still waiting on that Bronco! lol What audio brands do you like? I had Focals in my Jeep and thought they sounded pretty great.
The kickpanel speakers are a full range signal. Grab the hi level (speaker signal) at one or both of those, subs are mono so one is fine. That will be the signal converted from hi to lo at your converter or amp, whichever way your doing the conversion.
I just did Kicker KS for the 4” and Kicker CS at 6.75” for the kick panels. Definitely need a sub, but am worried about the vibration under the seat. Any thoughts on that? Is it intense? I was also considering the kicker downfiring instead in the trunk so I could atleast stack stuff on top. One more random question. I have broke/ stressed one of those clips in the driver side 4”. Glued it to hold. I’m now worried about lifting it back off to put bass blockers on that I missed. Is this a big deal? Last thing I need is something rattling around. Tia.
I did the downfiring Kicker 12" boxed sub with 12" radiator and I couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that I wish it was 1.5" shorter, so it would be exactly the same height as the rear seats when folded down. However, until they release a pre-made 10" sub to fit in-place of the non-B&O Lux Packages, I think it's the best option for bass. Honestly, I paired that 12" downfiring sub with a 400W amp, and (6) 2-way Kicker speakers ((4) 4s and (2) 6.5s)... and it blows the Lux package out of the water for audio strength and quality.
FORD really dropped the ball with the sound system in the Bronco. I paid 57k for mine, and i gotta say ive never heard anything this bad,Never. Ive heard golf cart steroes sound better than the pos stereo in the bronco.
Yes sound bar is a turd, but everything you added made it amazing! Can’t even tell that things back there. Also you may be the first person to make Bronco audio install video on UA-cam!
I'm just glad your happy with what I did. Maybe in the future we can do something about that sound bar.
The soundbar sounds amazing once it is flashed
Great video. This should be the first video anyone who plans to modify their bronco watches, regardless of what they plan to do. I know I'll be referencing back to it multiple times.
That was the best audio Bronco video yet, thanks!!!
Great video, very informative and SUPER helpful. What would you recommend for a replacement for the stock speakers in the rear pods?
This definitely helped me with some ideas for mine in the future. Just got a '22 Bronco and the audio is very disappointing. I understand why the speakers are located where they are, but they could've put forth a better product regardless of that. Definitely something I need to do in the future. Thanks for sharing.
Agreed, the stock audio is terrible!
Would have liked to hear those new speakers. Nice work. Now I’m really worried about other installers doing the work like you. ✅
Awesome! Thank you on the Metra hardware! I've done the 4 inch speakers! But February in Canada sucks 😂 6"speakers are a few weeks away! 12inch sub all in one amp sounds much better! Thank you!

Which color wires are + and - for the dash speakers? You explained them for the kick panels, but what are the 2 that go up to the dash? Thanks
I am holding out for a JL Audio Stealthbox or i am going to do a rear seat delete and try to incorporate the subs and amps into the floor. A company called Goose-Gear has a 2dr rear seat delete. I plan to replace the 4” ones rite away.
Razer blade in the side works really well. Done it three four times already
Where at in Indiana are you located and what is the cost for this work, I have a 2022 that I’m interested in having this done, thanks
Would love to see the wiring aspect of it.
Let me see if I can make a schematic showing where all the wiring is grabbed. If I can find the time I will post it.

Can you share your setup @Shodax? I'm interested in your box setup. Also where did you mount your amps?
This is incredibly helpful, thank you! What do you think of the KICKER CS 4" in the dash instead of the JBL? Would the same bass blocker work?
Nice work sir if you were here in Florida I’d definitely take my vehicles to you
Great video! you made it look simple.. I’m still working on my sound system. Great tip on the front top dash speakers! worked out good.. I went with a Kicker System.
grill is easy to remove, start at windshield inner corner and work along windshield, before working aft, easy no break
Wish you were closer to me. I can’t find anyone to work on my broncos audio
If your in the U.S. it can be shipped. I have transport companies that I use for out of state customers.
did you put the BB1- bass blockers just in the front dash speakers?
If the sub is under the seat were is the amp . Also, why didnt u use the forscan soft ware to open up the power to the rear pods? Good video
Nice, love louder with crowder too! Lets go Brandon
Would you get a better sound stage if you ran those like components? Just run a mid-bass in the kick and cross them over at a frequency that gets a flat response? Why did you choose 300 hz crossover point?
Hey I love the video but you kind of glossed over the high level input. Where exactly are you connecting those with the stock system?
Would appreciate some more indepth info on the wiring please.
quick question. We have harsh winters over here. If the rear passenger gets in with a lotta snow on his boots. Is there a chance that the snow or water could damage the sub under the seat? I have a 4-doors. there should be enough room. But I''m still wondering
Shouldn't have a problem with the snow boots. Just be sure to face the wiring and inputs towards the front of the vehicle.
Nice Job explaining to all of us..
Where do you get your remote wire turn on from the broncos?
Thanks for the info! I couldn’t figure out how to remove the driver side kick panel.
good info, thank you for posting
Where did you ground the subwoofer?
Thank you so much!!! This is my truck and that’s exactly what I did, best price hack, and the sound system Cabe put in bumps perfect, not overpowering, but super clean!
I didnt expect those JBLs to fit - looked like they stuck out more than factory
So your sound feed for the sub Ts off the drivers side kick panel speaker correct
If that JBL soundbar doesn't sound good then it sounds like they didn't reprogram the radio because they kick ass

I'm sure if they installed soundbar backwards they didn't run fordscan to tune the settings for the soundbar that's why it didn't sound good.
They did because it removes the high pass from the rears and converts to full range when they do. Its honestly just not enough power to drive the soundbar properly.
Plug and play speakers?
Subbed. Can't wait to get the Big Bronco in. I love the sport I have now.
Thanks for the info! This helped
Great video man. The powered sub, works on high inputs kinda thing?
Post parts numbers for amp and woofers
Great Explanation, thank you.
How much did you charge for that?
I have a 12'' JL audio sub in the back of my tahoe now. Since the trunk is smaller would you reccomend going for one of the JBLs under the seat? Looks interesting... never heard of them.
Where can I get a bin of those plastic pins and tabs?
Came for the Bronco audio tips. Stayed after seeing Louder With Crowder in the background.

@@CustomAudioReimagined Same!
Excellent info. What source did you tie in the remote wire for the sub? I’m looking for a good 12v ignition source.
I would like to know as well
So did the subwoofer not block the vents in the seats.
Also could you put one subs under each front seat?
I noticed on my 2 door that there is a big cavity in the tail gate. There is a plastic cover for venting. Would that be a good place for a sub and kicker speaker o not lose the under seat floor space or do you think that it would be so far back and buried behind four seats it would lose its power?
Did you remove the floor air vent adaptor under the seat to get the sub further under the seat.
No, he didn't have one. Whenever I do have vents, if they will be a problem, I modify and redirect them.
New Sub for life here! So I noticed the Bass blocker says for 6"x9", but you used it on a 4" speaker is that ok to do? Is it ok to use on speakers up to that size? Mike, can you please tell me how you tapped into the front driver side kick panel speaker wires to wire in the sub? (if you did that)
Yes would like to know how the sub is ran exactly
Great Video! We learned a lot!
Did you amplify the sound bar I have one and want to know if that improved it at all.
No, it's running off the Factory Radio; however, Ford does the Flashing. They flash the factory radio to change the crossover and EQ curve for the soundbar.

If you went with any brand what would you do? Are there other options for bass?
Great info 👍. Appreciate the video
Thank you.
As I've been doing mods to my Bronco, I'm finding a lot of cheap-ass plastic tabs which break easily.
What’s the price range for this kind of upgrade?
Where can i buy a sound system for the bronco
Could I replace the speakers without needing an amp? Would the quality sound better?
Nice! Would be interested in having you do the same install on my 2 door Bronco. Could you give me a quote? I’m in Indianapolis.
