- Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna, Overture, Franz Von Suppe, Arr. Henry Fillmore. Performed by The Columbia (Missouri) Community Band, Larry Bennett conducting, at the historic Missouri Theater, December 19, 2006.
Beautiful performance!!! Thank you for putting your performance on youtube.
Is there any truth to the rumour I just made up, that this was actually written by Carl Stalling for a Bugs Bunny cartoon, but Warner Brothers made up the name Franz von Suppé to make it sound more "classical" than it was?
Franz von Suppé actually existed😉but considering the finale I would Bet IT IS Composed by Bugs Bunny himself
My band is planing to play the this music this October. I hope I make my clarient sound
beautiful like this band. How could ? It is in the best performance that I have never heard the music.
whats the tempo your taking it at
the clarinetist with the beard looks pretty cool!
💜
Wonder how the lovely cello solo would've sounded played on the basset clarinet ?
Bugs bunny bought me here
couple of things: 1-nobody ever built a statue of a critic. 2. it's a COMMUNITY band, so it meets once a week, it's all volunteer, and only so much can be done. 3. Larry Bennett is a fine man with a distinguished career in music, and you aren't even fit to hand him a baton. 4. where's the video of you conducting a band playing any better? hmmmm?
Interesting band layout - very well done however! :)
theres a part that seems strait out of a movie at 0:50
spoken like a real tinear
father Christmas on a Clarinet
Pokemon Orchestra Mastro
I thought the conducting was below average, but the performance was reasonable despite this. The character of the music being played is rarely represented by the guy waving the baton.
Some really nice clarinet playing by the soloist, but overall pretty sloppy performance. Not bad for a community band, but if this is the "best performance you've ever heard" you should go check out the US Air Force Band playing this same piece. You'll be amazed at how crisp the timing is, how much more in-tune the players are, and how few gacked notes you hear.
I thought the conducting was excellent. The playing is a little sloppy in parts, but the conducting is fine.
Clarinet Sound is Not well
playing clarinet below standard😧😧😧
Well played, ignore all the ignorant comments, these are probably from people who get paid to play
