that line gave me absolute CHILLS. especially the first time. i dont think Yuri even had a filter on. it sounded like raw anger imbued with addiction.
the moment he put the suit on, there was no going back without help from those closest to him. i LOVE Yuri's voice acting. throughout the whole game, you can *really* tell he gave it his all. admirable.

I love how the beginning starts with Peter's hopeful leitmotif then slowly evolving into a sinister, darker and menacing theme (as alluding the symbiote taking over Peter the more he is using the suit).

This theme is awesome, but at the same time, it’s scary at certain moments, especially when MJ used the shock gun to wake up Peter and he just says “Run.” Absolutely terrifying!
I don't know why more people aren't talking about this piano part at 1:27. It fits so well here and it's haunting yet sad because it shows how peter is changing and how that change is affecting everyone around him. All just in a 3 second piano chord.
Right? We need a piano version of this theme

Spider-Man 2 really was an ultimate sendoff to Ultimate Spider-Man and Web of Shadows. It told a really well dome Venom story that is rarely told that cohesively and efficiently. Had a blast with Spider-Man 2.

"Cohesively and efficiently" is such a funny take. This game completely butchered the Symbiote arc by making it happen in two days, the exact same reason people dislike Ultimate's depiction of it. The Web of Shadows shit should have been delegated to the DLC, Tony Todd as Venom has less than 10 minutes of dialogue in his own game. 2 protagonist game has less missions than SM1. This game needed 4 more months in the oven.
@@Kek393still wasn’t a bad story by any means. i could be a little biased cause im a sucker for symbiote stories. definitely could of been a bit longer tho no doubt. still a great black suit story tho in my opinion. i feel like tony todd’s lines are gonna be used in a future dlc maybe🤞🏽
@@ericism00 they aren't. They were cut from the main game. And I'm very much allowed to say the story was bad when it was rushed, inconsistent and had no original ideas.
“Now they all think I’m the problem! YOU think I’m the problem! But I’m not anymore…I’m the solution…” I love the characterization of Venom in this game spreading their underlying hatred to the surface.
I missed the part where that’s my problem.
All the Symbiotes are an Alogory for Addiction too.
Peter gets Addicted to it's Power, It's used like a Drug to cure Harry and When Scream Shows up she is like a Cloud of Falsity one would have from something like being addicted to Wanting to succeed
This black suit theme was everything! It made me feel like I was wearing it myself. The somber and slow tone of the music from the beginning to the constant cynical and dark theme consistently flowing throughout is just mesmerizing. I loved it.
In my opinion, this game gave me the definitive take on The Alien Costume Saga. I wish we had a little more time with the black suit though. That would have been nice.
The music starts soo heroic and then it becomes slowly darker and more menacing which features peter giving slowly in to the Venom suit

This theme already feels almost as iconic as the Spider-Man 3 Black Suit theme. A recognisable and menacing sounding motif that also combines it with elements of a traditional heroic theme. It's a Superhero at his darkest point.
I wish they used a small motif from Spider-Man 3 like how they used the theme for Black Cat from Spider-Man 2 (2004), but just a little piece of it not the whole theme.

Bro not at all, the black suit theme from Spider-Man 3 is arguably the most iconic Spidey theme period (other than the OG 1960s one). Pull anybody from the street and they'd recognize it.

The descent into madness with this theme as progressively gets more dark and aggressive is brilliant. Love this track

At 2:45 there's this kind of gothic, biblical singing, and it really cuts deep, knowing that this version of Spider-Man is not very savior-like.. More of a force of vengeance that's closer to a devil more than anything. Or the church-like humming can be linked to church bells, one of the symbiote's iconic weaknesses.

Went from heroic to scary to YOU'RE IN DANGER, great theme for the suit. I'm happy that the iconic suit has a theme, and I did wonder if we would get a black suit theme and Insomniac delivered haha.

Absolutely love that they use the leitmotif from David Bowie’s “Sense of Doubt” to bring home the corrupting nature of the Symbiote. To make it even more interesting, this particular version sounds a lot like the horror movie “Life” version, which people used to theorize was supposed to be a Venom prequel.
I forgot people used to have that theory lol, idk why anyone ever made the connection Kelvin was a klyntar symbiote, it made literally no sense and didn’t do what symbiotes do at all, it just ate people, without a host

I love how this is just Peters theme but warped, twisted and aggresive. Also i like how it transitions from a heroic theme to a sinsiter sounding theme. Almost as if the symbiote is slowly corrupting you.
I love how it starts out very heroic, then shifts to a more imposing theme, before turning into this dark version of Peter's theme with a slight alien vibe. Very fitting for a symbiote Peter.

I like how the longer you play with the symbiote suit, the more "corrupted" it becomes, like the longer you go through the game the sharper the spider symbol is, the vainier the suit becomes, and the pointer the eyes start to be.
This was the most evil I'd ever seen Peter and it was truly scary. When he looks up at MJ in the tunnel "MJ.... "Demonic Voice" *RUN* " fucking comic book nightmare fuel.

I finished the main story last night at the time of this comment, and I was enjoying the entirety of it. Some parts made me laugh. Some parts made me cry, and others made me feel powerful (BlackSuit).

This game had sooo many amazing cinematic moments i’ve ever seen in a campaign, this original spider-man story has been a roller coaster and i love it
Some people don't like it they say there's "too many cutscenes and not enough gameplay" or "it's just an interactive movie"

@@davaughncrawford9168 nah some of those points are valid we didn't need some of that stuff in the game and the pandering in gaming as well as media is getting out of hand that's why alot is failing there are also bugs that need to be fixed overall the game was good with the exception of some side missions.

Tbf them mixing up the Cuban flag with the Puerto Rican flag at Miles's place is a major L. Plus some of the side missions were a little 'eh'. But other than that the game is a banger and a half.

this game did not at all deserve how utterly brilliant some of the superficial stuff is, like the minor key tweaking of the original "hero" motif and the modulation stuff - my word this is a composer that understood exactly what they were being asked to do. bravo.
