This song makes me cry my eyes out. Every. Single. Time... and I'm happily married for 14yrs! In my youth, it was my 'go to' break-up song and the memories just come flooding back. The lyrics are both heartbreaking AND positive. I swear if Bowie or Lennon had written it, then the world would be calling it one of the greatest songs ever!
I know we must sound to the teenage generation today the way our redundant parents did- BUT WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE AWESOME MUSIC OF OUR TIME!!!!!
yep the bluetones captured perfectly the uncertainty of the 1990's the internet was new..new possibilities opening up..then finding that the things that sucked in real life..sucked in the virtual! ..the Rickenbacker guitar takes me back to those opaque days of the mid 90's..how terribly inadequate today's times have become..
This track and indeed Album never get old. Luckily we still have Mark Morriss doing his thing solo, go see him he puts on a great show. And his new Album Flash of Darkness should be available from stores soon, or Marks website mark morriss(dot) me

The Bluetones, the thinking mans britpop band, One of the best albums of the 90s and this was one of the best tracks.
This song and album is perhaps one of my favourite albums ever recorded, not one song is poor. Just brilliant

This song reminds me of a very intense young man, once upon a time. I gave Mark a bunch of flowers once for writing this one song...

Blink of an eye... what felt like only yesterday is now your fading past 🍀
Time flows like a snail and it flies like an eagle...
The tones man.
Excellent song, thank you for uploading it.
I saw them tonight in Bristol and this song was definitely a highlight
This was the best song on the first gig I ever went to. Must be 1995 or 96.
Still so good to listen to after all this time... love love this song :)

For me the second half of the sixties takes most the silverware, but the nineties reached back to that era and derived great stuff from it
Such an underrated guitarist.
dunno who he is, but I love his touch
what a decade. I was only a kid as well. but I knew big things were happening.
I've wasted time away, but I think that it's okay 'cause I've wasted time away with you!
I second that notion.
Also has one of Adam Devlin's best guitar solos
like a lot of memories you only remember the good bits but the tonesare like a good wine they get better with age or is that us 90s lot ?

Eight years later, they've only got worse.
They were called the new Stone Roses for a reason.
The Blue Roses?
Not in my eyes, truely great.
Love
this song got me through my 6th form infatuation with georgie hewitt.
