Brother as someone who grew up in the ‘houn for 25 years before making it to glorious Oklahoma, you have allowed me to travel and see familiar and new places, I haven’t been back in about 2 years, and wow did a lot change/didn’t. Hope wherever your travels take you you are safe and filming.
i left trucking in 2004 after 10 years of driving, it took about 7 to 8 years to get the trucking bug out of you, now its been 16 years i still think about it, now at 60 years old i want to come back after spring time when theres more day light and warmer, but to many trucks and drivers out there, less frieght, and you got these kids saying how wonderfull those shippers and receivers are, but us old timers know better than that don't we, we can show them kids how its done, I STILL HAVE ONE MORE RIDE LEFT IN ME
Wishing the very best of luck to you in Florida, sir!!! I have been a subscriber for at least 7 years, maybe eight. You keep makin' them and I will keep watching!!!!
I like your explanation of a truck driver a Voyager. I started out driving trucks in the UK & EUROPE back in 1972, driving throughout Europe and the Middle east. I then went to Australia and Drove trucks from Perth WA to the mining towns and across to Adelaide round trips. Before moving to Canada and Finally into the USA ( wow it took a long time to get a green card sorted ). But yes I do feel like a Voyager and my take on trucking is it really is not a job but away of life. Keep on trucking.
Greetings, and Blessings once again from Cardington, OH .... Wishing you well with your move back to Fla. Thinking more about making a move there myself as I get older. The Ohio winters didn't use to bother me like they do now ... But we DO get older, and along with it, the frailties increase! Remembering having to dig our trucks out in order to get loaded for 48 states and Canada. BRRRRR!! Always wondering when the phone rang, what direction this time?? Will it be Montana, Alberta, Canada, Who., one of the Carolinas, Ariz.?? Lol ... (Always hoping somewhere WARM!) Enjoy sunny Fla sir, and again, many Blessings your way, and congrats on the move and new job. Anxious to see where you're going!!
Wow, leaving Calhoun with all the wild nightlife and kudzu! I don’t blame you one bit. Looking forward to more videos. Best of luck in your new adventure! Safe travels Jack.
If the worst thing is to get locked into the yard then it's no big deal. I'm not surprised however since it's easy to just take a nap and then discovering that it was a longer nap than expected. At 10:20 - it wasn't Scottied67 you passed. Texaco used to be present in Sweden, for some years it was Caltex. But many years ago it was sold and the stations carries the name Preem. Interesting to see things changing. At least not for bad reasons, burned bridges are never fun.
Indiana Jack,I’m so sorry that you decided to leave Calhoun GA but you do what you think is best and what the good LORD tells you to my friend. Wishing you safe travels and praying that everything works out for the best. Looking forward to seeing your future videos in your new home my friend-I have a friend who lives in Lakeland . GOD BLESS YOU and I like the Bible verse at the end of your videos.

Why are u not taking ur camper? Hope the New Year is good for u. I have heard bad things about Traveloco. Cause a driver we hired used to work for them. And he said shocking things about Eric. I googled and dammm. Glad I didn't work there. Which I won't cause I am with this company over 20 years.
There are quit a few trucking companies in Lakeland, Florida. Road Runner Exp, Indian River tank Lines, knight you're old almermata. I,m going to guess you are going back to... 😕😕😕😕😕😕 knight.😬😬😬😬😬
@@tiredoldmechanic1791 You're absolutely right! Giving your own drivers a 'safe haven' only increases good relations between company and employees. Years ago, many companies had sleeping quarters, bathrooms complete with showers for lay-over drivers. I guess that was more fore the freight companies tho, such as Commercial Motor Freight (later Commercial-Lovelace) .... I don't know if CF, Roadway and others did, but I think most did. I almost went to work for CL but never did ... I pulled flatbed, and had to do things old school. Lol

Welcome back to Florida from a subscriber in Jacksonville, also hotshot drivers in Florida need a class A license now.
Depending on the truck and trailer GVWR, they have needed a class a for a long time, same as every other state.
Floridian here. It's nice half the year, but miserable from May-October....I live near Lakeland, south of Tampa near Apollo Beach.
Hello Jack , hoping your new job in Florida will go good for you . Keep us updated on your endeavers after trucking .👍👍😊😍✌

You remember you introduced me to white gravy some time ago.. Well I'm still savouring the taste 😁
So that Flyin-J/Pilot and the T/A in Jackson, GA where both full in that Trucks and to park on the ramp?
I did not go over to the TA side but the Flying J was.
New decade new employment Jack! Hope it all pans out for you sir👍🇬🇧
Sweet - ah - hitch - Hicker ... Salah...
Holy Smokies headed for the oranges and Gators.
Hammer down Indiana Jack.
Not much oranges left in Polk County. Hard to believe that Lakeland was the citrus capitol of the world. Just a distant memory now.
Good luck, Jack!

Jack, is it true that Matt Eso aka Little Guy smells like a combination of beanie weenies and lavender? Thanks!
I never smelled him. Maybe you should ask Eric. 🤣
ALL DAY CPAP only 50% drama free on this channel 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hate it when my boss is waiting for me in a lounge.
I can remember on of my first jobs in High school in St Louis I was 16 was at Mobile it at Jefferson an Russall
I worked at a shell station on kings highway and Pattinson ave where I 44 goes over kingshighway now, when I was in high school in 1960
Why are u not taking ur camper? Hope the New Year is good for u. I have heard bad things about Traveloco. Cause a driver we hired used to work for them. And he said shocking things about Eric. I googled and dammm. Glad I didn't work there. Which I won't cause I am with this company over 20 years.

If I were to guess you are going back to work for knight or Werner as a safety director
hey Jack I haven't drove in a couple years but I've got a lot of experience probably 20-plus I was thinking about going to prime what do you think
You need a CDL to run them hot shots cuz of the VDW
Going back to Florida because Georgia is too cold... Compared to upstate NY where I live, Georgia or Florida would be paradise, lol
There are quit a few trucking companies in Lakeland, Florida. Road Runner Exp, Indian River tank Lines, knight you're old almermata. I,m going to guess you are going back to... 😕😕😕😕😕😕 knight.😬😬😬😬😬
I hope it works out for you my frend
Is this a rental car, you had a blue Ram!
I do believe that "hotshots" need CDL also.
Why have a yard your driver's can't rest in , get gate with key bad.
Robert Bleazard I agree!
When trucking companies won't allow their own drivers to park in their yard, how can they expect anybody else to allow it?
@@tiredoldmechanic1791 You're absolutely right! Giving your own drivers a 'safe haven' only increases good relations between company and employees. Lakeland, is that near a Florida landmark named Bok Tower?
It was closer to where I use to live but, yeah.
Bok Tower is in Lake Wales. Same county (Polk). It's about a 35 minute drive from Lakeland.
Cory McDermott
Cool, I visited it when I was a kid.
Highest point in Florida I believe
I think jack needs to be on the road not behide the desk
I delivered a load of clothes in Birmingham many years ago, geez, I’m getting older!!
