Little mac in world of light: ONE PUNCH
As a little Mac main, I think people are looking at it the wrong way, from the view point of how every good character is played, if you were to play little mac like that, he’s bad. But he’s also got so many good bullshit abilities. That if enough people did the research and the practice, of a different way of playing. He would not be bottom tier
Smash is a game of broken top tier bs. For every good option Mac has Pyra has 7, Cloud has 6 so on and so forth. Top level play is about consistency and Mac is anything but. He would still be low tier even if every pro on the planet started playing him.
He has some good MUs vs good characters as well. He goes even with both Roy and Mario for instance. And he punishes mistakes REALLY hard universally simular to characters like Incineroar, Bowser or Byleth. He even has some genuinly good kill confirms that links from good neutral tools like Dtilt or Uptilt
I guarantee you if Peanut had beaten MkLeo that one time instead of going 1-2, the collective Smash Bros hivemind would've flipped on Mac's viability for the next 2 months lmao
The reason he gets results is no one is willing to platform camp him
he gets signifigantly worst the better people get but a majority isnt at the level that is required to justify not using the easy kills
That's why tier lists aren't useful for everyone, it depends on skill level for many matchups
How do you beat Little Mac? You throw him off stage
A Little Mac is really good at not getting thrown off stage by good players, conversely you're probably not good at throwing good Little Macs off stage. In theory you should win but in practice most likely the Little Mac is just better than you at this matchup.
I’m one of those little Mac players where I consistently get better with him in 14 mil GSP. Problem is, that I just need a good mind set to win and a plan to get better.

From a tier list perspective, Little Mac has a better neutral/punish than Dr. Mario, and arguably a better recovery. While Doc has aerials, I don't think that's enough to make him better than Mac. Everything you do to "gimp/lame" a Little Mac can be done to Doc

I think Little Mac is better than any character in the bottom 5 for sure, better results than K. Rool, better than Ike, better than Dedede
Sure he has some matchups that he definitely struggles with, but against some other characters, he can destroy them, especially if they don’t have a projectile or a long disjoint, and even if they do in some cases Little Mac has enough speed to bait some attacks out, and he has very strong super armor on his smash attacks

I still think Mac is the worst character in the game, but he is ABSOLUTELY underrated by the playerbase as a whole.
Mac is waaayyyy better than Ganon. Ganon doesnt rush you down with insane mobility, Invincible smashes that can shield break and no KO punch. Ganon also lacks a lot of the kill confirms Mac has like Dtilt into Side B or uptilt into Up B. Ganon should probably be in a seperate tier lower than Mac tbh
