How to disable the 41 to 80 display on a Cybernet SSB CB radio .
I get asked often how to disable the 41 to 80 display on a cybernet SSB CB radio.
Here is a short video explaining the procedure. - Наука та технологія
ham international multimode III its remove yellow wire and solder onto the green wire (ptsw146aox channel switch board) to read 1-40 on all bands 🙂 of course when on the negative channels (-40 and -80 bands) the channels go in reverse unless microchips programs your board to go in the normal direction on those bands
That's a good idea 💡 🤔 👌 👍
Thanks 👍
I've done this plenty of times over the years, this 41 to 80 readout is ok on 80 channel radio's but for others it looks stupid. I often use the high band lamp as an "radio on" lamp, just snip the wire from the lamp to the band switch, solder a wire to the on side of the volume on/off switch. The other end of the wire solder to a 100 ohm half watt resistor which you then solder the other end of the resister to ground/zero volts.
Its a quick mod , i made the video as i was asked many times on how to do it .
WHY ?? i have a colt 485 dx black shadow and it has the 41 - 80 readout on the high switch , doesnt bother me in the slightest
Usually we disable the 41-80 when fitting a UK40 eprom/pic board
Also some people don’t like the 41-80
Me personally id rather be 1-40 but each to there own
Hi I have a 40 channel CB radio .how do you add to it to make it 41 channel.thanks
This is just to disable the DISPLAY , it has nothing to do with the actual channels.
Hi doing this does disable the 41. 80 but makes my hi band light stay on .... lo mid and hi
Interesting , can you make a post in my FB group so we can see what the issue is ?
