What starts off as a soothing meditative atmosphere followed by a multi layered haunting vocal harmony by Corey is short lived as a chant as of Die immediately kicks in and reminds you you’re dropping into Slipknots World. Into a driving rhythm in a similar fashion in the likes of (Sic) the f their debut album. Although the track has a very clean crisp melodic chorus the track overall is pretty relentless. Speaking of melodic choruses Corey really has turned into a well polished versatile vocalist and IMO will go down as one of the greatest Metal Vocalist/Frontmen of all time. Slipknot as a whole has become a well oiled machine that is still firing on all cylinders even after all these years they continue to turn out heavy intense passionate new music. I will always have love for Slipknot as they brought Death Metal to the masses/mainstream. And the video is visually stunning the combination of the look of Slipknot “Masks/Costumes” in a house of mirrors with strobe light/effects is absolutely brilliant. Definitely in the top 3 visual music videos from them. Who ever came up with the concept, shot, directed and edited the video is seriously talented. What a brilliant idea. The look of the video just jumps off the screen. And Sid looks crazy they could’ve just kept the camera on him for the whole video. My only critique would be the production. Slipknot such an intense loud heavy band but the production on some of theirs albums seems to almost mute theirs sound. Especially the guitars when Mick & Jim are such amazing players but their tone seems thin. Their last album “We are not your Kind” Had an incredible production really captured their sound so well. But I also understand that bands don’t want to become stale always having the same sound. Overall this is still an amazing new Slipknot track and I can’t wait to see/hear what they have next. GAME OVER
Sound wise, they released updated *versions* of The Dying Song and for The Chapeltown Rag. The guitars are brought up in the mix of the newer editions and Sid's turntable is more prominent too, i don't know why they decided to do it this late especially with The Chapeltown Rag, but i do think it does add to the songs in general. I would recommend relistening to them from Spotify, you might enjoy them even more than you already did!

As someone who doesn't generally enjoy Slipknot, I thoroughly enjoyed WANYK. I found it melodically creative, texturally rich and satisfyingly heavy. These new songs are a bit less ambitious in that sense but they're still great imo.

Yen obviously is the next track by slipknot, but can I just say I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS. I say it in almost every video you upload but I just can’t get enough of y’all’s videos!! The reason why Corey voice sounds good Is because he stopped smoking.
I’ve been doing this kind of vocal for about 22 years (been singing though since I was in primary school), smoked for 14 of them, quit smoking 8 years ago and my voice has come on soooo much stronger and I find I’m able to do things with my voice that I wasn’t able to before.

Sounds like a B side off Vol 3. All 3 singles are nothing special. Generic sound but I guess that’s them now. I will say Corey sounds great tho. I hope there is more off the new album.
I disagree but I see where you're coming from especially after WANYK. I'd definitely still give the album a listen when it comes out, it isn't uncommon for the singles to be weaker than the rest of the album these days.
