My favorite ODLR is definitely Esprit d'Oscar. But I am a sucker for anything iris. I find it reminds me of Prada's Infusion d'Iris Absolue, for a fraction of the price. I got to fetch a few bottles at Shoppers for 22$ each.
Sorry to interject, but 'volupté' is a noun, not an adjective, so you are not correct. Volupté is a bit hard to translate, and although a quick google search would tell you that 'sensuousness' is its english equivalent, I would beg to differ. 'Elation' would be a more appropriate translation, in my opinion. There is an appeal to the senses, to feeling delightfully light and high through pleasure. Bisous from a Québécoise with a formal french literary training ;)
Funny thing orginal volupte has a big fiolet note on my skin, that's why I don't use it. Six month later I buy and use Guerlain Après L'ondée like my life depends on it .Same Après with voilets as a main heart note 👀🤣🤦♀️😁
Thanks for your reviews. Have you tried Esprit d'Oscar? I'd love to know how you compare the original and Esprit. I adore Chanel No.5 too. However the company have gotten so greedy with their eye gouging prices. I think shopping for vintage perfumes is the way to go these days. Love your videos.
Thank you so much for your videos! I fell in love with several ODLR's. Especially Live in Love! I am sad I can't find much online at a reasonable price. Yet I am happy with the ones I found near me at a local perfume store. I bought their last two! You do a great job describing scents! I love all your videos! This may come up as my husbands email because it's his youtube account. I'm Celeste.
Thank you dear RuthAnn! Good to get new videos! French Canadian here and voluptuous means something like sexiness... sensual pleasure... you know ... 😅
Something Blue is my fave Oscar De La Renta - so unique and amazingly strong and long lasting considering it cost me less than £20!
I so agree with your comment that the so called listed notes don't always correlate to how perfumes smell.

@@JulieDeuxFois ahh the beauty of french language why are you so difficult to learn 😭🤣,👋☺️
She also made Tresor which is a top 5 favourite in my collection; I love the peach note in Tresor and recently got a vintage bottle
Oscar de la Renta is top! I must buy the original 😍
Thanks for sharing ❤

Ruthanne, have you done L'Esprit d'Oscar?
Yes a long time ago I've talked about it and it's an incredible perfume. I should do a video on all the Oscar's I own
E’sprit de Oscar to me smells so much like L’heure Bleue by Guerlain.
@cubbylevi1764 oh I own both & now I will compare them, thank you!
I’d love if you devoted a video to all of your fragrances from this house. 😊
😊
