Why couldn't I keep this haul? Perfect flattering fit , size 20, quality and stylish. WHY?

- This haul was amazing, I was blown away with the quality, fit and style of these beautiful clothes, the dresses, shirt and blazer were stylish and perfect fit to flatter my plus size 20 body. So why couldn't I keep them, watch the video to find out!

Susan another great try on. Phase Eight is one of my favourite brands and I have a few of their pieces mainly occasion or office wear rather every day casual outfits. The qua!ity and fabrics of their clothes never disappoints and although little on the prices side for that special occasion well worth the prices. That red dress was stunning on you as was the first dress. No so keen on the blouse or the jacket - nothing wrong with them at all just not to my taste - life would be boring if we all liked the same things ! ❤❤
Hi Norma, im beginning to realise you are a lady of sophisticated tastes as this was my first encounter with phase eight and although super impressed they aren't quite what im looking for at the moment. Im still struggling to find my "style" . Im finding it confusing trying to balance age, size and lifestyle whilst also considering what's on trend to find a 'look' that fits, flatters and fits into my lifestyle. So, the search continues and at least this channel is giving me the excuse to try on so many clothes in that search. Take care and life should never be boring its to much of a gift to be bored 😜 x

Absolutely, really love dress1, both the colour and shape. It's a plisse material, I think. I'd HAVE to keep that one! The jacket is a win, for me. Its part of the 'detail' to show the blouse sleeve, below the cuff. I'll have to check if Phase 3Eight does International Deliveries. (I'm a Brit ,living in Cannes) The quality looked amazing

Never heard of this brand Susan and far too pricey for my purse although I will add that you certainly got what you paid for . Such a shame the pieces were not suitable , that red dress in particular is stunning and made you look a million dollars. The first dress is quite lovely! I'd style it with a wide black belt to match your boots! It's really too bad you don't like the fabric.
The bright red dress is an eye-catcher!! The skirt and the length are super. I like the detail in the back, too. The only thing I'm not especially fond of are the sleeves. They add too much bulk to your upper body and just aren't flattering in my opinion. If they weren't puffy and more sleek the dress would be perfect! That red color really compliments your complexion! Remember that when you pick another item out! :-)
The white patterned shirt is nice and would be a great layer in the Winter.
The blazer is unique and very cool looking. Buttoning it gives you some nice definition. You would have to have the sleeves altered but it would certainly be worth the cost (which wouldn't be a whole lot!). That blazer would be a great foundation piece for your wardrobe and could be worn as a casual item with jeans or over a dress or with a skirt as a more fancy look. I like the way it fits you and how it hangs ! I hope you have the sleeves altered and don't forego this pretty blazer!!
Even though you don't have a high style life (who does??) doesn't mean you shouldn't have some quality pieces! Never sell yourself short! Invest in yourself!!

Hi Alyssa, still loving the name! I love what you're saying and agree I am worth the investment but I still don't feel these items were worth investing in! Im evolving and I still don't feel ive found my "style" the search continues but I will be more mindful of fuller sleeves making me look wider, I though rule was to draw eye away from problem areas and balance proportions out. Like I say I'm very critical nowadays and maybe subconsciously I could see that and why I didn't want to keep the items. It is hard trying to find a "style" that fits your personality and lifestyle and still look put together and not frumpy.
I had a tough time with that and watched a lot of videos, experimented (important as you know!), and asked the opinions of others.
My husband is very honest but nice about it and that really helped. I always ask him "Does this look too young for me? or Does this look stylish?" He's rather conservative when it comes to dressing, but does like it when I look on trend (to a point! LOL) (He hates denim so thought my new denim belted trench coat was a "no"! I like it anyway and kept it!)
I also ask my grown granddaughter and her wife. They are pretty honest, but tend to err on the side of "trying not to offend gramma"! LOL But I can tell if they really aren't crazy about what I'm modeling for them.
I tend to have a plain wardrobe now, but have a lot of bright costume jewelry I've collected over the years, so I spice things up with that. I'm only 5' so patterns really aren't good for me at all!
Anyway, I'm glad you aren't offended with my sometimes blunt opinions. I worry after I post something that I've crossed the boundary of politeness. Stay well, Alyssa 🙂
@@garmtpug Hi Alyssa, finding a trusted critic is tricky, my daughter is probably my go to for those "does my bum look big in this moments" and she's too kind to say yes lol. I now interpret her pauses and her enthusiasm in her replies to give me the honest answer 😜. You never overstep the boundary and if you did id know it would be from a good place. Just glad to have found a trusty critic ❤

Not bought from Phase Eight for a while. You do worry about being too hot on a cruise but I have found that however hot it is outside the ship, it is always nice and cool inside and especially in the evenings. But that purple dress is one to save for the winter. Again the red dress is super for a cruise…..go on one where you get on at Southampton…….bottomless luggage allowance! The first thing I ever bought from Phase was a navy suit, amazing quality and lasted for years.x Liz
Hi, sailed from Southampton once to the Fjords and certainly made use of the luggage allowance then but now we prefer to fly to start point to be able to visit more exotic destinations than the med. I could definitely see the quality of fabrics which ultimately was the downfall for me, thanks for watching xx

Hey sweetie. My UA-cam is acting up so I could only scan through parts of this video so far but why couldn’t you keep these clothes? I think everything looks amazing and what I could hear of your comments you seemed happy with them. The dresses look beautiful! The blouse would go great left over leggings or if you think a bottom is too snug but I thought it looked even more pretty tucked in under the jacket like a suit! It was more figure forming and the tucked outfit was flattering and showed only and all of your best features. ❤
Hi Mariska, oh thank you for still watching even with your difficulties, you are a true superfan and I appreciate you so much. Unfortunately I wanted the clothes, the red dress in particular to take away with me but it was too heavy weight a fabric plus the lining meant it was a heavy dress to pack. It was a hard decision but in the end it was expensive to just wear the once or twice. Hope your issues get sorted soon xx
Hi Susan. I love phase eight. I have only bought 1 dress from there for a wedding, it was gorgeous and I felt great in it. Everything looked good but I get what you mean about the weight 🙂

Hi Christine, exactly the same as me, I was impressed with design and quality and the prices reflected that but I'm not in the market for such quality at the moment as having too much fun experimenting with all sorts of fashion items. Do you have any suggestions of other shops or brands you feel I should look at or anywhere else you've heard of but never shopped with? xx
I've heard of phase eight but didn't really take notice of their clothing as i thought either their sizes will be too small or they will be wanting the younger market, collarless jacket not had one since the early 90's,x
Hi Marianne, I had pretty much the same view as you to be honest. But I definitely felt the items were designed for the "older woman" 🫣the quality and fit were outstanding but just not for me at the moment. Im having lots of fun trying all these new brands, do you have any suggestions or wishes for any other brands you would like to see, i'm running out lol xx

Hi Alana, to be honest I had heard of them but never bought anything before this haul. Such good quality but unfortunately that was the downfall as just to heavy for travelling and although I wish I had reason to wear beautiful red dresses everyday I just don't lol xx
