what type of paint did you use for the top coat. Oil Based, Urethane, etc. Also, did you have to make sure the type of paint bonds with the Sta Kool? or did it no matter.? Thanks Great video, just needed a bit more detail.
very nice, thanks for sharing your experience and skills! the background music volume doesn't match to the main video's audio volume I get surprised on the sudden volume of the bgm... great guide!
Blake how do you feel like the Stay Cool product us holding up a year later? How is the adhesions and how is the final coat of paint holding up? We are about to paint the exterior of our shipping container build . The Stay Cool product is apealing not only because of the cooling properties, the water proofing as well. I'm finding mixed reviews on final paint adhesion... Love to know how it's holding up in your extreme climate. Thanks so much for putting all this great info out there!
No Strings Running hey! Well to be honest our is covered under all the siding now, but Based on the cost I am not sure you can loose by going this route even if you had to redo it every couple years, the heat load was insanely reduced after application, so I would do it even if it was a short term solution... it was also so thick it sealed up almost with a rubbery coating.
We just had our shipping container painted a couple days ago. We’ll it just started raining and the paint is just washing off. Talk about being really bummed. It seemed great, been really hot here in Texas and the sides of the container felt really cool to the touch. They said they used a paint that reflected heat and had a rust inhibitor in it. Any idea how they messed this up? Interior paint?
Can you tell.me if there is a way to install ceiling fans in these containers. Secondly, if it is at all possible to eliminate the use of wood in insulation.
I’m doing the same process. I’ve mated 2 containers down the 40 foot line by welding a 1/4” thick x 3” wide x 40 feet done the marriage line. I am going to find a good rubberized sealer for the plate added to insure its watertight.
I have some questions about the painting of the container home. First off, how is that brand of paint holding up? Also, did you use the paint/primer combo as a base-coat and use the roof coating as the top-coat? I'm asking because I just bought a used 20 ft container for storage/shop and it needs a repaint. Thanks for the help!
I've seen this asked, but not answered. I have been trying to find a paint sprayer to spray the elastomeric paint. Everything seems to say that you need a robust pro level paint sprayer. The paint sprayer in this video does not seem like it is rated for this. Can you give any details on the paint sprayer or if the ratings of these devices are being overly limiting?
I would probably do this, but if I chose to do siding, is this step even necessary? Or can I just do the water proofing coat and be done with it afterwards?
Pretty sure the cutaway music is so loud is because no one yet has used ear protection while using power tools, so everyone including the editor, must be deaf.
🔨🛠🚽🚿🛁Pardon me, but what is your name? I am loving the videos a lot of information you can use. Can't stop watching I'm glad to get to see what is next. 🔨🛠🚽🚿🛁

Missed out--- Make Video For Electrical Wiring inside container & provide it's detailed costing break-up in description. Thank You for your time.
I would like to see how you did the container door and keep the handles operational.

What size spray nozzle and PSI paint sprayer did you use?
I was wondering if you can show how to set windows when you insulate the exterior instead interior please please!
wow thank you for all helpful videos you did for us! just one question, did you sand or clean the rest of the walls? Or you just pained it as it was?
Super nice job ! Is the paint water or oil base ?
Great Video. Thanks. What type of gun could one use to do that with an air compressor?
Fyi, that's a flapper disc, not a grinding wheel. I wouldn't blend with a grinder. Random orbit sander with 80.

Yo!..., nice...!
Yo! Thank you
You have a video for framing the bathroom walls with metal framing?

Containing Luxury thank you so much for the response!

Yooo what was that song you played during the paint montage portion?? It was so dope
Hello. What type of paint sprayer did you utilize?
Hi. What do you use to seal the exterior roof? Can you use liquid rubber?

Is it safe to sand blast the exterior of container to prep it for paint? And is so what kind of paint should I use?

what do you do for the roof
Hey what model of paint sprayer do you use to spray the sta kool?
I would probably do this, but if I chose to do siding, is this step even necessary? Or can I just do the water proofing coat and be done with it afterwards?
TomoyaKun100 if you do siding you can skip this step :)
You didn't explain why you put wood 2"x4"'s in the walls.
Tom Christensen ...to keep the wall upright. You’re dealing with a really super thin steel container it has no stiffness to it!
@@denelll.bennettsurvivorwar8224 actually the container is structurally sound, but you need something to hand drywall from and hide electrical stuff.
Philosophy of putting stay cool before top coat?
Elevated beds
How many gallons of the elastomeric did you use?
We bought a 5 gallon bucket and had plenty to spare.
I bought 2 buckets. You sprayed it and used less. If I roll it probably use more. Is this safe to use on the inside walls?
So 5 gallon paints a 40ft container?
Sorry for the late response! Yes, the 5 gallon bucket was more than enough.
Containing Luxury thank you
