I’m surprised nobody is talking more about her cat. To me, it shows her as an opposite to Makima.
Makima loves dogs. Dogs are obedient and loyal. She also is shown to have a lot of dogs, which symbolizes her desired control over everyone.
Power loves a cat. Cats are more independent and free. She is also seen with only a single cat, which is a symbol her independence later in the story.

Interestingly enough, I have never seen Power and Denji's relationship as romantic. I find both of them have a very child-like attitude. As such, their relationship is pure. They are very close no because of romance, but because that is something children don't consider as being romantic

Well, I also think they're just buddies. I knew a girl that I never seen as a romantic interest but with time, events we were very close and understanding of each other, just as siblings. I will not add more to the story but rubbing breast is well, platonic I guess, just a spark of curiosity.
I'm glad authors still write friendship and not only rubbish romances. I know it's my opinion but romance is much more limitated than friendship in development, subletly, and philosophy.
Power is the first and greatest president because of her bravery in the final battle, she showed a love that was only reserved for Denji when she formed the contract and told him to find the next blood devil. Power knew she wouldn’t see Denji again and took a risk that greatly paid off

Power remembering Denji’s birthday was most likely something that Makima made Power do, it wouldn’t make sense that Power knew exactly where he was, since he said he was going to the store, yet she easily finds out not only that Denji was at Makimas house. Plus, Makima states she “invited” Power over, she was being manipulated the whole time so that she could die in front of Denji, so I don’t think that the whole birthday situation was Powers idea.

Does she have to be near the person to control them? Questions like these make us speculate how powerful Makima really was and how Nayuta will become
Well I think the birthday was Powers idea... to an extent. Mostly the fact that she wanted to do something nice for Denji, her friend that gave her comfort when she was paranoid of the Dark devil. Now obviously the setup, location, and timing of the party was makimas plan, but the intent to do something nice for Denji was all Power.
I want to agree but power has said denji is her best bud he means alot to her to the point she would fight against makima and defy her even in a lossing battle on top of being killed by her before
Power and Denjis Relationship isnt Romantic, it's more of a brother and sister relationship and those scenes after the darkness devil are more of a criticism on how Anime would sexualize those scenes but in Chainsaw man they're all just kinda depressing
Denji's relationship with Power isn't a romantic one, which is something I didn't claim, but its clear at least too me, that Power views Denji in a romantic light. It's a one sided affair.

I don't really see Power as being in love with Denji, they really just had a sibling-like relationship and Power just really loved and appreciated him as he was her only first and close friend. You can tell in the parts where they bath together and stuff, it's not really sexual, it's like when you used to take baths with siblings when you were little. I think Power just saw Denji as a true friend.
The line in between friendly love and romantic love are very blurry, not all romantic love is sexual, and romantic love can be friendly such as sibling like ( this doesn't mean I want to see power getting slammed pls don't take it that way)
I mean, big part of the ptsd thing was that he wasn't leering at her at all anymore at that point. she was important to him and in pain and he did not view any of that through a sexual light the way he did with his actual romantic interest. she was his sister in pain.

I think a big part of Power and Denji's relationship and a hint that Denji did love power is in the part directly before you started the voice over. One of the reasons Denji doesn't want to live is that Power won't be there, and after calling him a dummy repeatedly she asks, "Do you really miss me so much that you can't do anything?", and Denji responds with, "I do..."
I also took his "this isn't hot at all" comment about how close he was with Power to show that he has grown past his immaturity and that of course it wasn't hot, she was currently traumatized at the time.
That line just hurt, bro. Character deaths a lot of the time feel alright for me - this is the end of their arc - but Power’s just hit different, and that line just cemented the pain. It’s like if instead of being given sleeping beauty treatment, Rem just *died*

She can’t be a Primal Fear because they’re devils so powerful they’ve never died in Hell and come to Earth.
i dont think power is in love w denji, i have never seen any romance between them, its just a very intimate friendship
I honestly never really read the interactions between Denji and Power as anything really intimate in *that* way, but rather just as Power being a person whom is very physical in the ways that they show affection, which goes well into the whole cat comparison since animals will often show their affections through contact, like a cat rubbing itself against your leg. And so I feel like Power just tends towards those types of affection and just thinks of Denji as a really close friend. Also I think she’s probably too much of a dumbass to know what sex or other related actions are.

One thing you have mixed up is that their relationship is not romantic at all. It's a sibling relationship. Stated outright that it was set up this way by Makima to provide him the feeling of having a family in order to break it and his contract with chainsaw. She set it up with aki being the older bro and power being the younger sis, and Denji confirms that even bathing with her it doesn't feel sexual to him.

I think people misunderstand Power. The need to brag and show off demonstrates a feeling of inferiority. That is...Power didn't feel strong. Thus why she had to talk herself up and beat up small fry. It gave her that confidence boost she needed. I think her relationship with Denji shows what the real Power was like. An insecure person who was afraid to let others close to her. Who felt small and weak. So did everything she could to combat those feelings. And gave her all for the person who gave her a sense of security. It doesn't matter what exactly Denji and Power were to each other. The important part was the trust they developed. That her actions were fueled by a sense of gratitude towards the person who actually tried to bond with her.

That Power dubbing at 13:19 was unexpectedly well done. A very emotive one
I think it was good but some parts are lacking vulnerability, which she needs because she is a tough girl who is being soft in this scene.
Prediction for Part 2:
Denji finds the Blood Devil, completely forgotten of their memories. Denji challenges the devil to a duel, and if he wins, the Blood Devil has to accompany him on his journey now, where over time he will proceed to give more and more affection to a Blood Devil who doesn't give a damn about all that until they eventually grow to like it, as Power wanted. Maybe the Blood Devil adopts Power as its name after they grow onto Denji enough.
I also predict that Kobeni is gonna be the "Aki" replacement lmao
I think ppl need to really stop pushing this Denji and Power are siblings agendas...People are completely misunderstanding their relationship.
Power and Denji are like little children who are besties. That's it. They're NOT like siblings. The one that ended up being like a sibling was Aki. Aki is the one that became like a big brother to Power and Denji, not Denji and Power. Denji and Power are just friends. They never saw each other as siblings. And they don't act like siblings either.
Also, Power clearly had feelings for Denji. And Denji might've also had feelings for Power but they just never realized it. Like I mentioned before they are just amature little children.
I really hope Power does return. Maybe she's not gonna have the same body but I hope her memories come back when we meet the new blood devil. Denji looks miserable in part 2. We hardly ever see him smile and be happy like we did in pt 1 with Power. I really want my happy boy back. And I don't think we can get that without Power. They are soulmates.

Usually when I start reading a new manga, I have multiple favorite characters. But when I read Chainsaw Man, Power quickly became my absolute favorite character. Yes, she's no Uraraka or Mitsuri. But I love how honest she is. She says anything and everything that's on her mind and I love that about certain characters. I can definitely say that Power is my favorite character of all. Not just in manga, but out of all of the media I've consumed.

something i really love about denji and powers relationship is that denji doesn’t sexualize power. they have more of a sibling like relationship which makes those moments between them more rememberable :)

I don't think Denji is capable of romantic feelings for anyone until maybe after the final chapter. Not even for Makima. He doesnt know how to. Maybe after Power's sacrifice and the death of Makima he can manage it but not before.
I will be entertaining if he meets the blood devil again and he explains some of the history and the blood devil goes "I charmed Chainsaw, even as just a fiend? Of course i did. Who else could manage such a feat?!"
