Love your content. One of the smartest guys making Rangers podcast on social media in my opinion. Could listen to you for hours, mate. Not just talking about football, but movies, etc. Top class stuff 👍🏻
👍Thanks, Billy. Really appreciate that, sir. If I take these videos any further you will literally be listening to me for hours - I really need to rein it in😄 - but hopefully the auld Teds will give us all plenty more to rant 'n rave about tonight.
Eck. I want Us To Win Every Game we Play. The Further We go in Europe the more Money We Get. Benficas as Big as Any Dutch Team. So Theyre not that Bad. Lets Just Go and Put on a Show. Play up The Famous Glasgow Rangers.🇬🇧🇬🇧. Love Ur Spiel Eck. Fuck n Brilliant 👏👏👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Wholeheartedly agree, David. For me it's always been about the Europe and games like tonight are the reason why. Yeah, we could get stuffed but we should be mixing with the Benficas of the planet - and they should be mixing with us. Interesting/ironic that the Dutch and the Portuguese each have three big clubs and if you group them together only one of the six has never been champions of Europe - and it's the one in the green & white hoops. Also noteworthy that the Dutch and the Portuguese contested the first ever Nations League final and were the two countries involved - in Nuremberg in 2006 - in the world cup finals match with most bookings. Thank you for your continued support of the pod, mate - it's so appreciated - and let's go on a Benfica bender you you beautiful blue Teddy Bears💪💪💙💙💙💙
Aye, a curse of the modern game, Graeme. These regimes may be evil but they ain't stupid - they know exactly how best to schmooze us: Hit our weak spot, the fitba.
Thanks Alec ! Amazing to think that the last team to beat Rangers in their home leg, by more than one goal, in the Europa League was 37 games ago. It wasn't Betis, Dortmund, Lyon, Porto, Benfica, Villarreal or Leverkusen. It was Progrès,.......now that is progress.
Another of your incredible stats-that-had-never-occured-to-me, Simon. Amazing. Had never thought of it like that. And here I am posting on Twitter about how, if you throw in that 1948 friendly with Benfica at Estadio Nacional, we've scored three or two goals in each of our previous five visits to Lisbon. We're seriously tempting fate but - hell, yeah - let's enjoy that run while it's still going, even if it's just for another hour.
There have been brilliant International sides, there have been lucky ones, there have been boring champions but none of them had bigger balls than Rehagel’s Greece. They didn’t give a shit who came along, they were going to beat them in the end. Play the hosts twice in the same tourney, no problem, geez the trophy ya bastards.
Don't think I've enjoyed a summer tournament the way I enjoyed that one. Proof positive that if you have the organisation and the will you can move mountains. One of the greatest ever examples of hard work beating talent that failed to work hard. Wonder if it can ever happen again with the Euros now involving an extra round and almost half of all UEFA member nations.
Sorry the post-match reaction took so long to go up, George - Big Phil would never have stood for me dilly-dallying on the ball like that (That'll be me "rotated" for Sunday!) - but, luckily, it's coz there was just so damned much to say after yet another sensational performance from the Europa League Teds. Hope you enjoyed yer night, sir and thanks so much for giving the pods your time. Really is appreciated👍🍻💪❤🤍💙
Thanks, Colin - thanks for taking the time to listen, my friend. Aye, it would be nice to add another little historic factoid to the Rangers story tonight. Enjoy the game, sir 🤞💪

@@FatEck1999 I like to believe it’s still possible.
@@multipleman78I'll only believe it if Steve Clarke starts whistling at his players by that strange, half-his- knuckle-in-his-mouth method.
Barbara Streisand book in the background, even more respect for you!
Let's go fu**in Yentl!

Great Knowledge, Alec.
Terrific factoids Alec, enjoyed the education about Benfica, it’s a historic tie for both teams, here’s hoping we make it through. 🔴⚪️🔵
