I love how you are not telling us how you read 64 books this week but instead go into detail for ever single one. In fact explaining the book so well I now have a whole new Ana TBR I am starting to list.
the background & chair match yr accents/tones so well ! & i wanted to read pnin for the same reason, loved zadie smith and was rlly interested by her praise of it in changing my mind - speaking of, how cool is it i have yr copy of it on my shelf :D have a nice road trip ❤️
I think you need to steal that chair. You suit it so. As always I adore you. I am thankful for the joy of your videos and please when I come to NYC can we get up to some bookish shenanigans. Thank you!
First off WOW secondly WOW(ZA) look at the scenery and everything! There’s a book in particular I have on my TBR wish list commencing this very second. I adore the positivity affirmations at the end. 🙂
"LOLITA" is the only book by Nabokov I have been able to get through. I attempted "Pale Fire" and I honestly do not understand the hype around it; it felt torturous forcing myself to read it, so had to dnf it🤣. Anyways, really enjoying your videos. Have a great trip 😀
ahahaha! Totally understood. Honestly, I was expecting Pnin to be much harder to read, but it was a breeze. Maybe that’s why Zadie Smith likes it so much 🙃 if it’s too dense, my mind wanders
@@sofyaantonova5583 I hear that a lot. I guess I am just missing something, 🤷 Lol. Nabokov’s works, with the exception of Lolita, have always seemed to me to require some sort of academic prerequisite in order to be fully understood. I don’t know
Ohh I have Pancake. Was wondering what to expect from that. I’ve heard Pnin be codified as an academic humour, so been thinking it’d be something like The Netanyahus? Gotta be in the right mooood.
Definitely expect slow moving, fractured character short stories. Depressing, but great writing. And you described Pnin perfectly. Absolutely academic humor, but if you’re ready for it, it’s a silly romp
Hey there, totally off subject but, you remind me of Aldous Harding. Totally on subject, her favorite book is 'The Master and Margarita' ...think you might like it.
Omg, you wanna know something funny? My mom randomly sent me a video of Aldous about a year ago and compared my funky dancing to hers. I take that as a compliment. And I love Master and Margarita! Wild, enchanting and out of control!
I had never heard of this guy by the name of PANCAKE. DONT BELIEVE FOR ONE MINUTE that is his real name. This book is definitely depressing judging by your comments. And so I would not read it as I only read books that lift my spirits and don't drive me to the depths of despair. The world is depressing enough without reading about it.
Definitely a sad novel, but also enlightening to see a part of life we often don't try to venture into. Great character analysis. And pancake! What a name, right?
Slowly watching every video of yours and slowly falling deeper and deeper in love
I’m falling deeper in love with your user name

It makes me so happy that you have it. It’s like a sort of pen pals. Just exchanging experiences with novels

Thank you so much. I honestly just pick up whatever lands in my lap (sometimes there's too many options🤪)

Pnin sounds intriguing- might give it a go! Also, that’s it. I’m embracing my natural curly hair starting today.
Hahaha! Wish I could say that was my natural wave. Might’ve had some assistance with heat :/
I am a new subscriber and you’re already one of my favs
that means so much to me. thank you so much for being here.
Slowly consuming nails...🤣🤣🤣 I teach college-prep lit classes, but I have never heard THAT metaphor! 🤣🤣🤣 At least, not yet!
ahaha the time has come to get a little wild with the metaphors 🤪🤪
Curls are looking gorg
the curls stole the show
I think Ana , you should take up acting. You have so much to give . Love your charisma.....
I do act : ) it's my main passion. I'm happy you can see it in me
Picked up the D'J Pancake collection. Been reading Mottley's "Nightcrawling" inconsistently. But I read everything inconsistently these days.
I feel you. Some weeks I’m a 5 book person, others I’m a 0. Hope you like 🥞
the two lumpy old ladies sentence did also make me chuckle
right??? So rude, but a lil lmao
Mesmerizing
Thank you for gratitude and reply

Book recommendations yes, but can we also please talk about this jacket?!?! I want it. I need it. Details please!!
ahaha! It’s my mom’s, actually. I had nothing to wear, so I threw it on. I’ll ask her when I see her next ;)
nobody ever talks about how funny nabokov is!
I know! I laughed my lil booty off!!
It is awesome to see you blowing up Ana!
Omg, u read the Pancake!
Let's do thisssss!
We’re in this together!! 💪 Was in W Virginia the other day and it spun a new perspective on the book
You look so much like Caitriona Balfe to me! Gorgeous!
Thank you so much! I got that once before and I consider it a major compliment!
this house looks like one of the miniature rooms at the art institute of chicago holy shit
My mother will be more than elated to hear this. thank you

I want to read Nabokov's book - have a great road trip !!!
Finally have some decent time to respond to comments!
Have you read anything from Han Kang?
Yes! Human Acts! Broke my heart, but so educational
Hey Ana~ I love your videos 🖤
Do you plan to read books in theme for Halloween soon? Would like to know what you lean for the scary season.
great suggestion! I usually don’t theme it, but I just might this year! I’ve got some books up my sleeve that are pretty disturbing 😏
