Zionism is a Jewish movement that promotes the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people, a region corresponding to the Land of Israel described in Hebrew tradition. Since the end of WW2, this dream was achieved, but ethnic and religious tensions rock the modern landscape and contribute to radical and ultra-nationalist tendencies among Israel's citizenry.
