Oh, yeah! That was totally one of the BEST reactions to Dan's version of "Amazing Grace," that I have seen yet...and that's saying a LOT! I LOVE it that you now have new brain neurons! I think most of us do. Thank you VERY much for this reaction. My husband was just in our little kitchen, behind me, and heard me laughing about the brain statement and wondered what was so funny. So I told him what you said, and he also laughed like crazy. After I heard this song the first time, I went and played it for him, and he started to make a face and tell me he really doesn't care for metal music (which I already knew). Then he sat still and listened, and now a lot of Dan's songs are in his very special play list. When he's here at home and Dan starts singing "Amazing Grace," David turns the volume up, and just waits for me to pop into the room, and say, "You called?" Then we both listen together, for the umpteenth time. He also told me that when he goes in to do his weekly maintenance work at our church, he puts his phone up in the front where the acoustics are really good, and then turns the volume up to listen to it. More than once, other people have come in to find out what's going on, and then THEY fall in love with the song, too. He has become one of Dan's best fans. 😀

Great reaction. Yes, that's pretty much the same reaction I had the first time I heard this last summer. It was the first time I had ever heard of him. This is hands down the BEST version of Amazing Grace I've ever heard, and I was immediately hooked. I'm a proud member of Vasc Nation and he's my go-to artist when I want to escape from the craziness of the world for a while.
